Finn. Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Easy, for me: Tokyo International Forum in 2007, in front of only 6000 fans they played... 1.Take a Bow 2.Hysteria 3.Map of the Problematique + Maggie's Farm outro 4.Guitar interlude + Butterflies & Hurricanes 5.Assassin (extended) 6.Sing for Absolution 7.Citizen Erased 8.Hoodoo (piano) 9.Piano interlude + Apocalypse Please (short) 10.Feeling Good 11.Piano interlude + Sunburn (piano) 12.Starlight 13.Guitar interlude + Time Is Running Out 14.New Born 15.Forced In (instrumental) 16.Bliss (extended) Encore 1 17.Soldier's Poem 18.Invincible 19.Supermassive Black Hole 20.Riff + Stockholm Syndrome Encore 2 21.City of Delusion 22.Plug In Baby 23.Riff + Knights of Cydonia Insane, if only they put the entire performance in a dvd...

I was there. yes that was insane!!! I was just sitting down outside of the hall after gig, couldn't believe how happy I was.
Musegirl13 Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 I would be happy if they just played sing for absolution!!!
bILLOO Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 I was there. yes that was insane!!! I was just sitting down outside of the hall after gig, couldn't believe how happy I was. Â Am soooo going to see Muse in Tokyo next time.
kueller Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Am soooo going to see Muse in Tokyo next time. Â I've been wanting to do the same for like a year. Â Wembley 2010 or Reading 2011 Â I think I'd prefer Wembley 2007's set, but Reading yes.
Seaking Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Earls Court 2004, both nights were good and slightly different
Lord MFC Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 reading 2011, any of those rare songs sets in 08 (dead star, megalomania and fury ftw) Wembley 07 collectively was insane as well. Sunburn, Apocalypse, SFA, Citizen, a few BH&R rare uns and all the rest.
Jobby Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Absolution Tour definitely had the best sets to date. I couldn't pick one specific gig though. Leeds/Reading was great but the encore was shite so it's definitely not the best setlist ever.
philam64 Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 I don't like it when people complain about setlists. Some are better, but I couldn't say any Muse show was bad... Anyway, I've only been to two shows, and I gotta say I liked Portland's show better. Vegas was much too short, although I was surprised at MK Ultra in Vegas! Uprising Resistance New Born + Micro Cuts outro [watch] Supermassive Black Hole The Star-Spangled Banner intro + Interlude + Hysteria + Back in Black riff Guiding Light Nishe United States of Eurasia Feeling Good Helsinki Jam Undisclosed Desires Burning Bridges riff + Starlight Hangar 18 short + Unnatural Selection [watch] L'Arena intro + Time Is Running Out + Jimmy Jam riff Plug In Baby Encore Exogenesis: Symphony Part I (Overture) Stockholm Syndrome Man with a Harmonica intro + Knights of Cydonia New Born actually made me scream, which I barely do; the Micro Cuts outro almost made me soil myself. Guiding Light totally had me melting, but the "our trials and tribulations" at Starlight destroyed me.
Seaking Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Glastonbury '04. I always found Glastonbury 2004 to be a little overrated ...
Finn. Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Some are better, but I couldn't say any Muse show was bad... I feel the same. One thing is the setlist and another is the performance. For example, the San Siro gig has a ''standard'' setlist, but that night the band and the crowd was on fire, making one of the best gig of the entire Resistance Tour, if not the best.
Banksy. Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 I would be happy if they just played sing for absolution!!! If they played SFA at a gig I was at I would be ever so happy.
Bs Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Earls Court 2004, both nights were good and slightly different I'd probably have to agree with that from what I've seen. I'd pick the first night over the second if I had to choose one, although it would be nice to slide Space Dementia in there from the second night too...

kueller Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 I always found Glastonbury 2004 to be a little overrated ... It was a really great and amazing performance, but setlist wise it was pretty boring compared to the standard Absolution Tour sets. I actually don't know why everyone treated Glasto '10's setlist as a major fail in comparison.

kueller Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 I found Glastonbury 2010 better. Glastonbury 04 was good dont get me wrong but nothing special. I loved them both really. 2004 had the big energy and many flawless performances. I saw the 2010 recording and it looked like such an amazing atmosphere. I would've loved to be at any of them.

I actually don't know why everyone treated Glasto '10's setlist as a major fail in comparison. Glastonbury 2004: Apocalypse Please, Ruled By Secrecy, Sunburn, Citizen Erased, Bliss, Sing For Absolution, Butterflies and Hurricanes, Muscle Museum, Blackout Glastonbury 2010: Citizen Erased, Guiding Light, Feeling Good, some stupid U2 song, Undisclosed Desires, Resistance, Knights of Cydonia. Too subtle?
Bs Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 I prefer the second night... Glorious! I just prefer the flow on the first night...Especially at the end... Plug In Baby Bliss -------------------- Dead Star Micro Cuts -------------------- Apocalypse Please Stockholm Syndrome
