Muse's best ever set

Glastonbury 2004: Apocalypse Please, Ruled By Secrecy, Sunburn, Citizen Erased, Bliss, Sing For Absolution, Butterflies and Hurricanes, Muscle Museum, Blackout

Glastonbury 2010: Citizen Erased, Guiding Light, Feeling Good, some stupid U2 song, Undisclosed Desires, Resistance, Knights of Cydonia.

Too subtle?

Resistance, Knights of Cydonia and CE were all great.

Man with Harmonica > Knights of Cydonia /endgig is extremely boring by this point, that's probably why people wouldn't like it. And Resistance is not a good track at all, live or on the studio it's just dull and boring. But I suppose each to their own

I didn't much care for Resistance in Studio but for some reason them playing the song live hooked me on it.

My first Muse gig .

The only weird bit was Sunburn > TOADA > TSP > TIRO. They should have put Apocalypse Please after Citizen Erased, moved TSP into the second encore before Stockholm and then switched TOADA with B&H so it eased the transition between piano and guitar.

Even though I 've never been to a Muse gig, I find the Wembley 2007 gig (the second night that is on the DVD) their best performance and I have listened to it hundreds of times.

Glastonbury 2010 was also a great night with outstanding crowd sometimes singing even louder than Matt.

Finally, Reading 2011 is another one of my favourites

Insane, if only they put the entire performance in a dvd...

That's just...incredible.

The second night at Wembley 2010, either or the 2007 ones and most of the 2008 gigs with Dead Star were epic, as was the second gig in Brisbane last year, with MK, CE, Sunburn, TAB and B&H.

Reading and Leeds were pretty special for having OOS, but the second half was literally the post-OOS singles, in the order they appeared at most gigs during the tour. If UD and Resistance were dropped for something like MK, Dead Star or B&H, it easily could have been one of the best.

Late reply I know

CE was good. Feeling Good actually didn't bore me for once, as did MWAH. Knights was good (to me).

Compare the Glasto setlist to other Absolution sets, it wasn't a very special set. In context it was the performances that made the night, and I think they performed well for 2010. If people really thought that Muse would pull out an setlist like 04 when they were playing the same repetitive setlists for almost a year, they were being just a blindly hopeful as the ones who thought they would play Dead Star, Fury, and Showbiz for Reading and Leeds.
