Shiner1 Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 MTV.uk has now apparently picked this up, and in this incarnation, Matt is the one telling everyone to mosh . . . And I don't understand the shock of Chris smoking. He does it every gig.
mjartrod Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 So, I just asked Chris on Twitter about this incident and he said "first I heard about it was when I read The Sun." Obviously didn't get yelled at about it then LOL!

dead-duck Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 It'll soon turn into Kirk telling people to mosh... no, i thought kirk was the one who was smoking? He's the bass player, isn't he?
laurenn1 Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 wow australia is square. It's all a bit embarassing really.
Finn. Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 I don't like smoking but this is a bilge, seems that it is possible to prohibit the entry to a country a terrorist, but not to a smoker.
Kazy-Babie Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 no, i thought kirk was the one who was smoking? He's the bass player, isn't he? Nah he's the one who likes running around in shiny suits and dates hollywood actresses
occer Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Oh look another non-story from a Rupert Murdoch owned newspaper. Move along, there's nothing to see here...
Kirby Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Oh wow... according to the article, they broke the only rules they were really given
Megglen Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 I will admit, The Sun has a very sexy photo of them on their online article Edit: Or maybe it's just Dom's hair
LyraSilvertongue Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Smoking is banned at UK venues too. And at the O2 I noticed signs saying 'no moshing, no crowd surfing'. So it's not just Australia.
heartsignite Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 It's quite ludicrous that there are suggestions that Muse should be banned from Australia for five long years. Imagine all the money they made from this tour - tickets and merchandise are great ways to make money and you wouldn't want to stop a good thing! Especially when the thing is MUSE!
Izzy Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Thank you Valerie for posting this on fb It's clear now http://x-kissandcontrol-x.blogspot.com/2010/12/issues-surrounding-muse-concert.html

beeSides Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Thank you Valerie for posting this on fb It's clear now http://x-kissandcontrol-x.blogspot.com/2010/12/issues-surrounding-muse-concert.html oh wow! i'm so glad this was posted and that i read it. fucking "news reporting" blowing things out of proportion. kudos to the person who initially sent in the email!!! Chewing gum is banned from Brixton now. Never seen signs for no moshing though. i got my lip gloss taken from me by security at an MGMT show in so cal seriously, i coudn't get any people of the security staff or the venue to explain the logic of binning every female's lip product before the gig. is there some aspect of drug culture that i'm not aware of?

Hello, and thank you It was I who sent in the email. I just finished writing my reply. I think after all of this, Jo Juler and I are going to be best of friends, lol
LyraSilvertongue Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Chewing gum is banned from Brixton now. Never seen signs for no moshing though. The chewing gum thing is something to do with drugs isn't it? The O2 is the only place I've seen the no moshing sign. Like anyone's going to take any notice of it
haze015 Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 The chewing gum thing is something to do with drugs isn't it? They said something about the cost of cleaning it all up. Otherwise it has sod all to do with drugs, I think people chew it to stop them grinding their teeth, but taking the gum away from them is not going to stop people.

Oh, my brother said he'd been told by a bouncer that people smuggle drugs in in chewing gum packets, or something along those lines, and that's why some clubs ban it.
Buttercanes22 Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Reet - Not that I condone violence at all - I do think there is a bit too much health and safety going on in this world. It just wouldn't be a Muse gig if there was no moshing or bundling or crazy jumping in the air when the best tracks are played.....come on guys - live a little eh?
