  1. oic! Well extreme angles aren't really my thing but I might give it a go anyway.
  2. Me and my mate headed out in the snow today. I think the insides of our 550D's are probably still wet, but at least if they dies then they got some nice shots first. 3. I took out every other light source in the room, so the only light is actually from the candle itself. Since its only a small flame, it only reaches so far down itself. Then I just sliiiiiiightly desaturated it.
  4. I managed 91 days last time. If I can make it to 92 this year I will allow myself to give up with dignity. Anyway, this was day one. Whether or not they'll all be as arty remains to be seen. 2013 Project 365 - January 1st by IntelligentAl, on Flickr Oh my days.
  5. Project 365 started today. Lets see how long this one lasts for
  6. Â Â Â Â Welcome to kit and tab. Â "Hey look, here's something interesting we could talk about. Â But I won't tell you what it is, so we can't talk about it."
  7. Nice, I love the Electromatics. I used one for a while a year or so ago and sounded great with just a little overdrive pushing it, and the Bigsby just tops it off nicely. I like that finish too, the one I was using was sunburst but I think I prefer the wine red. The reason I say used to use one is because I dropped it off the side of the stage one night and the owner never let me near it again
  8. Just found this while going through my old Audacity folders again. Its an unfinished cover of Forced In, how wonderful. I think its from 2010, possibly a bit earlier. [soundcloud]http://soundcloud.com/alex-porritt/alex-porritt-forced-in-2010[/soundcloud] I kinda wish I'd finished it actually, its got a cool sound. I think I was planning on doing the lead part (Matt's vocals) by tremolo picking with a phaser effect or something like that, but apparently never got round to it. And the synthy sound thing is a Stylophone plugged into my old Fender G-Dec
  9. I have two possible responses to this and can't decide which I prefer, so I'll give you them both and you can choose your favourite. 1) Like they ever were. 2) This from the guy who has yet to hear their most recent album. And also bonus response, 3) Your mother.
  10. I remember when we used to discuss the most effective method of removing the screen from a Kaoss pad and putting it in a Squier. How far we have come.
  11. Babe you've shattered my confidence But no I get you, you may have a point. GHNHG fuck being sensible.
  12. Ahhh is the Fishman the saddles? Because I was just gonna ask if those were replacement saddles Also is it just the angle of the picture or is the top E string really close to the edge of the fretboard? Very nice though, love the wear.
  13. Ok these are honestly the last two I'm going to post. I know you're probably all sick of them by now but I have a duty to self promote http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1gk2chrZWU&feature=plcp http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEsV9RM2_lk&feature=plcp I'm in love with the toan in the first video basically. I borrowed our bassists little Laney 15W valve amp. I laughed at him when he first suggested it, but its seriously good. Perfect for getting micced up, but obviously not so suitable otherwise. Seems fairly compatible with my Encore neck at least Less happy with the guitar in Lady Brown, simply because it was too loud and there was a tad too much gain. I would have remedied that beforehand but unfortunately I wasn't getting much out of the monitors. Not too bad though, I'll just remember to check next time. Anyway, there are a few more videos of our original stuff that I haven't uploaded, but I know you're probably all bored of it so I'll leave them be
  14. You should be practising anyway James! Although these days I tend to count playing as practising when really I haven't actually properly practised in years We tend to do a fair bit of stuff in F# actually because when I first took over singing I felt most comfortable in that key, but we should really get round to changing that now because my voice feels like its come on a bit since then. But I'm a bit reluctant because as you say, it does sound nice in F#, and I find that with a capo its a really nice key to solo in because the capo keeps the strings a bit tighter than just playing in E (if that makes sense). Cheers Phill, always been a bit worried about my singing so thanks for the compliment.
  15. Might still be processing, but for James: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qzf_0azSoIg&feature=youtu.be
