nr116
Hey fellow muse fans. I have a friend who trashes on muse basically everyday. He argues that Daft Punk is better. Obviously, any coherent individual would know you cant argue who sounds better when it is an opinion question, but he doesn't understand this. I know muse is a much larger band than daft punk but can anyone provide links with comparisons in ticket sales or album sales? For example how muse was the first band to sell out wembley stadium. Thanks!
altbecky
Muse sucks.
boywonder
I trash on Muse basically everyday too. I'm only here for wonderful people like Boozey.
Max
I know muse is a much larger band than daft punk Nope. In terms of mainstream popularity and single/album sales, nope.
Buxomflirter Queef
Yeah but there's 3.5 people in Muse and 2 in Daft Punk so Muse is bigger.
Kavo
Popularity/sales means shag all when it comes to quality of band. Though I'd argue Daft Punk are bigger than Muse, despute being in different music categories. Anyway, off to Muse section.
FabriPav
I was surprised to find out that Muse have more facebook fans and last.fm listeners than Daft Punk. But still, I'd say DP are "bigger". Who cares anyway
Max
Yeah but there's 3.5 people in Muse and 2 in Daft Punk so Muse is bigger. Well, if you put both bands on a set of scales, I can see how you would come to answer, yes...
Caff
Who cares anyway In my experience, when this has been coming up for at least 10 years... Music fans in their mid teens care. For some reason.
boywonder
To be fair Muse did sell out really quickly.

forevermusic
Both are good acts, and both are better than a lot of the acts in circulation. Doesn't matter that much whose bigger or more popular - just if you like it. Next.

Buxomflirter Queef
Well, if you put both bands on a set of scales, I can see how you would come to answer, yes... Idk. I think the helmets weigh more than Bellamy so we'd need to go by mass rather than weight.
Max
Idk. I think the helmets weigh more than Bellamy so we'd need to go by mass rather than weight. Matt would be wearing some sort of LED suit I feel. That will drag.
boywonder
Yeah but there's 3.5 people in Muse and 2 in Daft Punk so Muse is bigger. Bellamy's the 0.5, right?
Buxomflirter Queef
Bellamy's the 0.5, right? Not even. Chris counts for 3.

Velouria
This is pointless without a poll (with the obligatory nostalgic Coldplay option of course).
erika
That one band is more popular than another doesn´t necessarily prove that it's better either? More concert-tickets for us then!
Caro_H
This is pointless without a poll (with the obligatory nostalgic Coldplay option of course). And a 'Radiohead lol' option too. But just to solve the argument - Daft Punk is playing at my house, my house. They'll show you the ropes kid, show you the ropes. No one has ever made a song about Muse. Simple. Anxyous
No one has ever made a song about Muse. Simple. To be fair, Muse did at one point.
Caro_H
To be fair, Muse did at one point. I reckon all Bellumzghey's songs are about himself. But like, that totes blates doesn't count. When another band writes a homage to them, then I may sit up and take notice. Oh, and also when they start being a decent band again and stop making frankly terrible pop music. kueller
Well they both had highly praised earlier albums and later on went to topically emulating styles that were already better done before them.
