Finn. Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 According not only to setlist but also to accuracy, performance... An example with the last two albums: The Resistance Tour 1-Wembley (2nd night) 2-Stade de France (1st night) 3-Moscow 4-Brisbane (2nd night) 5-Reading Festival The 2nd Law (so far) 1-Tokyo Zepp 2-Stade de France (2nd night) 3-Mexico City (3rd night) 4-Saitama (1st night) 5-E-Werk
kueller Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 I heard Brisbane was a bit weak in performance.
ryanp16 Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 I heard Brisbane was a bit weak in performance. Yeah I heard because of the massive deviation from the standard setlist a lot of things went wrong.
Jobby Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 I heard Brisbane was a bit weak in performance. Swap it out for Manchester
Finn. Posted October 24, 2013 Author Posted October 24, 2013 (edited) Swap it out for Manchester Yeah, maybe you are right, Manchester was insane too Edit: Go with Absolution 1-Earls Court (2nd night) 2-Earls Court (1st night) 3-Helsinki 4-Glastonbury 5-Pinkpop Edited October 24, 2013 by Finn.
FabriPav Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Why is Reading 5th and not 1st, in the TR tour? Also lol E-Werk. Just because it was the first? I'd say most of the gigs in the actual indoor tour were better.
Bumpypotato Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Just because Brisbane had a good set doesn't mean it was a good show. Everyone I know who was at both nights say the first was better.
Dee3Dee Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Why is Reading 5th and not 1st, in the TR tour? Also lol E-Werk. Just because it was the first? I'd say most of the gigs in the actual indoor tour were better. Because Wembley night 2 was slightly better. Reading should be number 2 though. And SDF night 2 at number 3. EDIT: TR tour: 1. Wembley night 2 2. Reading 3. Stade de France night 2 4. Rock In Rio 5. .... Some other gig here.

FabriPav Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Because Wembley night 2 was slightly better. Setlist-wise, absolutely not. Most of the Reading performances were great too.
Dee3Dee Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Setlist-wise, absolutely not. Most of the Reading performances were great too. Wasn't arguing for the setlist though. If you take Bliss, CE and PiB then they were infinitely better at Wembley. Wembley also had TAB and RBS. And MK Ultra. And an excellent performance of Map. And yeah, while all the rare stuff from OoS was amazing, the rest was pretty tame imho. Especially that "big rock-out ending" of boring greatest (s)hits.
Tom//P Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 (edited) I wouldn't say L&R were part of the resistance tour... For the record I thought they played better at Wembley than Leeds... Edited October 25, 2013 by Tom//P
kueller Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Wembley looks like it had better performances and atmosphere from what I've seen.
Finn. Posted October 26, 2013 Author Posted October 26, 2013 Also lol E-Werk. Just because it was the first? I'd say most of the gigs in the actual indoor tour were better. They were on fire that night, listen the FM broadcast, anyway just my opinion. Was a short gig, though.

Everyone I know who was at both nights say the first was better. I went to Brisbane 1st and 2nd night. 2nd night was the best muse gig I've seen.
Bumpypotato Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Literally the first time I've heard that.
MyChemGd1234 Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 They were on fire that night, listen the FM broadcast, anyway just my opinion. Was a short gig, though. They were.
Jobby Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 E-Werk was a great gig, should definitely be in the top for this tour, had some great performances (best Supremacy and Animals so far imo) and a good atmosphere. Surprised the SBE Warchild gig isn't up there though, that might edge the Saitama gig for me.
Will_ Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Montreux Jazz Fest has to be up there for OoS gigs

Jobby Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Animals was way better in the stadiums though, the ending was beefier. Dunno, it's hard for me to compare. I've seen it on the stadium tour but I'm just going off recordings for everything else and E-Werk sounded pretty beefy.
Boz Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 I haven't heard any review of anybody there so only going by the recordings of Muscle Museum and Plug in Baby on youtube, but Reading 2002 looked like a good performance so maybe in the top 5 for the OoS tour? Was anybody there still around on here?
