  1. RIP live thread. New tour hasn't started officially yet but we don't have a name for this leg so let's combine it. Live gig chat if you care is #muse@rizon Sexy Plane/Train here: https://twitter.com/captjimmykane/jka
  2. Resistance was more like 2 years if you add the times together. It's been a few months and the main tour isn't even starting until next year so it's going to stretch for a while. But yes there will be stadiums.
  3. I kinda want a big production for this tour. Not lame stuff like actors and floating lightbulbs, but like giant screens pyro and drones with laser emitters. I just feel like the album opens up for something like that since it's more conceptual. If it's gonna be standard sets and 360 cut view might as well make up for it somehow.
  4. Weren't the arena tickets substantially more expensive in the UK last tour? Is this a repeat or are they just universally more expensive?
  5. I really like the ending. I'll still defend that. I also think it was a good length, the other two parts being the parts ended prematurely. I just have a thing for that kind of ballad style. That said it's still disappointing the last 7 minutes of the album are not written by Muse.
  6. I've had good experiences buying from their site so it should hopefully go fine.
  7. The Globalist or Soldier's Poem as I find they have the most lyrical depth in the message. Maybe Ruled By Secrecy but the verses are rather cryptic and I can't tell for sure.
  8. Their index of b-sides is still there but none of the links work.
  9. The fact that it tries to map the original instruments is a minor detail in the grander design of the game. As a whole it's not too different from playing Ouendan or Audiosurf, which have no actual real life connections. You're hitting buttons in time with gems on a screen for points. Even Harmonix seems to have realized that from their abandoning of previous efforts to bring the game closer to the real thing. Anyways Harmonix would be stupid to ignore their most requested band because somehow every single person in the studio doesn't like them (which itself is unlikely). It's a licensing issue.
  10. I love Bellamy's riffs. A lot of them are probably not legendary worthy but so many of them do seem to hit that good spot of being strong and memorable, at least enough. It's a strong hook aspect, even on piano.
  11. Revolt thematically is pretty fitting in its place on the album and I think its title maybe mislead expectations. It's a retrospective song and not about an actual revolt. That rebellion and rage was all in The Handler. By the time Revolt comes the character is already free (Defector couldn't be more obvious in saying that). This is an old topic I just felt like posting it.
  12. Here are the main results. One thousand hours in GIMP and spoilered for your scrolling convenience. 889 responses as mentioned at the top of the image. A few extra facts. Reapers and The Handler got overwhelmingly better responses than anything on The 2nd Law. There were a lot of people with high expectations whose expectation were not met. People who considered the album to be on the same level as The 2nd Law still ranked Drones in the lower half. People who considered it worse than The 2nd Law also ranked Drones in the lower half, with many of those ranking it last. Just showing a lot of people unhappy with this album were also unhappy with the last ones. Expected trend but numbers. Now the general album rankings as averages: The Handler - 9.39 Reapers - 8.95 Defector - 8.36 The Globalist - 7.84 Dead Inside - 7.39 Psycho - 7.28 Aftermath - 6.84 [JFK] - 6.59 Mercy - 6.47 Drones - 6.07 Revolt - 5.45 [Drill Sergeant] - 4.78 TOTAL: 7.51 (poll), 7.20 (above numbers) Hopefully I did not miscalculate, but the graphs should give you the same idea anyways. Overall not too many surprises (the ranking from the T2L survey had some odd ones) but there you go. Until next album.
  13. I know. But most of the CA people here seem to have gone, despite the difficulties.
