  1. Yeah like I said, the songs actually off the Resistance album are of course likely to be best during that time. Can't really compare versions from gigs I've been to since I've seen them once in 2006 and once in 2009, but the best versions of Unnatural Selection were from 2013 imo, and nothing beats the 2006 version of SMBH where Matt did the distorted screaming. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1upkp14drH0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BUq6cvXWAw (Rock In Rio 2013 is even better, but don't wanna link the entire gig)
  2. Simple answer: Radiohead has a consistent fanbase that will stick with them. Muse partially have that as well, but a big part of their fanbase consists of casuals who will get bored if Muse plays a non-single at a gig, and who certainly won't stick around if Muse disappears for a few years.
  3. Reading was literally about an album they released ten years earlier, hardly a good example of the TR tour. Anyway that's not what I meant. I meant individual performances. Like, there's no Sunburn from 2009 or 2010 that I wouldn't turn down in a heartbeat for a 2012 performance. And that's the case for basically every song. Stockholm Syndrome, Time Is Running Out, SMBH etc, they are all better before and/or after that tour. The exceptions might be the actual TR songs, and KoC actually. KoC in 2010 was amazing. Especially at Fuji.
  4. TSP and TOADA are both pretty simple vocally, especially since Chris does the hardest parts of TSP (mostly so Matt has time to breathe). Would love to see them both back. Edit: and I do think that if we're gonna ask for something as a fanbase, it should be an energetic song, something that even casuals who don't know it might enjoy. Much easier to convince Muse of bringing something back if it actually gets a reaction.
  5. I really like the 2006 performances tbh. Especially when it means he'll give the G4s one hell of a go. But I wonder if asking for CoD will just give Matt a super easy excuse to not play it (the guitar). So I'm trying to think of what else we could ask for as a collective. We've done Dead Star, Fury and Assassin. Showbiz didn't work and we've done CE and Bliss to death. Maybe Darkshines? HTAILY? Endlessly (would love that one tbh)
  6. Pop singles only really tend to stick around if they do well in the charts, and everything off Drones did really badly from what I've seen? Like, Mercy won't be another Starlight because Starlight is actually well known and is one of their most played songs on every site/music software. And for that same reason, Madness stuck around, Follow Me didn't, and Dead Inside won't. Not to mention that Follow Me was a bitch to sing, while Madness is most likely the easiest Muse song ever to sing when the ending is done in falsetto. Panic Station was also difficult to sing, and that one didn't make it. Both Mercy and (especially) Dead Inside are really difficult to sing, so that's another reason. In comparison, Starlight is super easy. Matt can't even sing The Handler properly now. Can't imagine he'd wanna give it a go in 2 years.
  7. Psycho will stay, Reapers will get the Unnatural Selection treatment. Mercy and Dead Inside might disappear completely like Follow Me and Panic Station. Defector might show up once or twice. The Globalist is probably gone as well. Honestly can't see much of this album surviving at all.
  8. Didn't we get some showcase thing for Muses stage a while ago, showing some pro shots of their arena tour? Did I dream that?
  9. Yeah Drones has definitely been even worse. Muse are still a consistent live band who pretty much never make a mistake, and thus they will still receive all the praise. But for me (and others) it just doesn't come close to earlier tours in terms of energy, effort or overall quality.
