It looks really professional, like a sleek website or something. Refreshing change from all the hand painted bullshit sitting on my pedal shelves. I thought you'd be doing them in order of the coolest customers IE Cheddatom #1

oh, what's this, james more important than chedda?!
-
can't wait to hear it for myself!

I'd definitely be interested for £100ish
-

-
cool, and what mic(s) on the cabs?
-
I'm surprised by the Mira, it all sounds like single-coils to me! Thanks for all the info
-
Thanks, but what guitar and pickups? Also, I know I said "at the start" but I meant when it kicked in, sorry, should have been clearer

arrrgh I wish I was in Norway, I'd love to come play bass for you About the production, how are you getting the guitar sound at the start of change of skin?
-
Well, it's physically bigger. I did used to gig with 25 pedals which is more, but only one of them was a multi-effect. No duplicates though. ....so yeh

You are correct. Absolutely outstanding production. It's my new benchmark for rock music

Oh my god, finally I find out where I leaned about Maraton. I've been asking everyone to find out who told me about this band... these two songs https://soundcloud.com/maratonband/change-of-skin https://soundcloud.com/maratonband/everything-that-i-am I must have listened to them both at least 100 times each. The production on these is perfect. I did check out the new video, wasn't a big fan of the song, but as a "producer" I can confirm the above poster doesn't know what the fuck he's on about, the drums are fat as fuck

I would say you could get a nice heavy guage string and cut it down. Think about a baritone guitar. The scale length isn't much great, but the strings are far heavier, which is why you can get the low notes without flapping

Make your drum beat in a MIDI sequence, then run this through addictive drums

I'm sure it's worth it... I'm looking for shit to hint at for my 30th birthday but I doubt any of my family are going to spend that much!

Damn, only just seen this. How was The Grapes?

the die-fet was a little slack when I had it, but I didn't think I'd fucked it that much. I guess it didn't like me slapping the bass through it? Great pedal though I found it did loads of sounds which I already have, and then the high gain one which is ace, but I have a Tech21 XXL which beats it, hence moving it on

it'll be on guitar and bass on most of the weird solo stuff here: but I'm not sure which ones... I set up an amp sim in Cubase which is almost identical so I use that when I'm at home oh, actually, this definitely has it on all the bass: http://kilta.co.uk/ That was recorded ages ago, not a great mix, but you should get the idea anyway EDIT: just had a quick look and saw an SS20 on Ebay - looks pretty cool! £80 for that SS10... it is overpriced but I'm still tempted

yeh and it has quite a bit of low end anyway. I still do blend it as it's in my chain there, but when I play guitar I go straight through it, it's fucking ace. Honestly if you get one you'll love it
