  1. oh it's still a shitty peavey combo, I use that BDI21 as an amp modeller, the combo just makes it louder, it's OK and always sounds great through a PA About the SS10s though, I thought I had mentioned them, but yeh I can't find one anywhere, I do search once or twice a month
  2. yeh I love it. It's quite difficult to set just right as it can suck out the low end, but once it's right it's RIGHT It's an SS10, chorus and distortion. I use it mainly for distortion. The chorus acts as a bit of a clean blend for me. Used in this way on low gain it's incredibly responsive. I have it pretty much always on. When I want a nice clean sound, I just pluck gently. When I want it to dirt up, I pluck harder. When I want it to smack you in the face I slap. It's without a doubt my favorite dirt pedal ever, and if you ever see one, you have to buy it for me for a backup.
  3. i like the amount of dirt but the only other effect is flange?! ^^^^ this is my floor
  4. That reminds me, I've not seen granny fanny in a while, I need to go see how she's doing
  5. When I the opportunity for some analogue in/out I make sure to really drive it in hard. This way you get the most out of your nice warm squishy pre If you want a guitar sound with plenty of reverb, do you go in dry and splash it on after? Or do you go in nice and wet?
  6. clearly you have previous experience of PT and Cubase so you're not free from bias, therefore I have no idea what point you're trying to make
  7. have you ever listened to mp3s stored on a flash drive or worse yet a solid state hard drive? FFS why do they keep fixing things that aren't broken. The rotating discs in your hard drive are what manages to fill the gaps between the samples. The momentum gives that analogue warmth
  8. whatever mate, I use proper tone copper from the andes and I know it makes a difference. I also buy the decent tone hard drives for my computers as well, that way less tone is lost between the digital samples. You might not be able to hear it, but my god-like ears hate the sound of any other hard drives.
  9. thanks, I've just ruined my pants It is the black pups, yeh, how would it look with silver?
  10. see what you mean, I've not used the BDI21 for creepjoint before but yeh, it's an ace pedal
  11. Yeh, it's all written except the lyrics which they're working on. We've not recorded anything else yet except some demos for arrangement purposes Not sure what you mean? I play drums in CJ. The bassist played the Bronco on all of the first album and pretty much none of the second. Thanks, I appreciate it. Just one 57 on the cab, tiny bit of EQ and compression, doubled yerp, makes you want a Bronco right!?
  12. Not sure I should say, as it will skew people's perceptions, but it's a squier bronco in to a Behringer BDI21 straight into the desk
  13. It's a weird custom thing. I don't have any good pictures really. It's a custom JM-6 by John Marshall. Not much info online and his website's down
  14. I like Pro Tools but have to agree with Jaicen, it's just awkward for anything other than basic recording I've used Cubase for years so just stick with it. I'm running Cubase 6 on my new machine at the studio, seems pretty good so far!
