it is the same place, booze slushies for everyone. you gotta go to vegas at least once, just to see the tacky sights.

I should, I might be dragged later this summer for someone's birthday, but I've never been too interested in Casinos ans such. I know that there's more to do than casinos, but I hear lots of the shows are really expensive.

The bars that have live music don't have the best bands, there's also one with dueling pianos and the pianists are pretty good i hear, but i haven't been in any of the music bars cos I'm more concerned with ace drinks.

piano bars can be fun. We went to one in Vegas, some guy was playing 'take me out', he was cool.

you don't have to gamble, the shows are expensive some are in the $100+ range. I went to see Love the Beatles show, it was $150 a ticket.:eek:

if you like to shop, then go to Vegas.

Meh, I'm not much of a person who likes shopping in fancy places, I like flea markets better. :)

I see, I don't shop in fancy places either. So go to Vegas for the booze, that always works.

I just like good company and good times. :D

If my calculations are correct, we'll see them in 46 days.

YAY!

On Mill Ave, you'll notice a lot of empty shops, it's kind of funny cos the only places that never go out of business are bars, or restaurants that have full bars. Ahhhh being across the street from a uni that was voted #1 party school by Playboy.

Honestly, I wouldn't go if U2 is playing. I don't want to pay who knows how much money if Muse only plays 10-12 songs. I could probably get festival tix cheaper than what U2 would charge for a nosebleed seat. Plus, I wouldn't want to further fund Bono's douche status.

Seriously guys, wait until they play a headlining show. The venue where U2 is playing is designated seating, so we wouldnt be able to all get together. 90% of all venues that Muse would play as a headliner are all GA, so we can have a line/pit party. Plus, why spend so much to hear 10-12 songs when you can just wait until they headline that way you get twice the music for a tiiiiny fraction of what U2 would charge.

As hard as it will be to know that Muse are performing on the other side of the continent, I wouldn't want to waste all that money to get there and only see them open for another band. I haven't seen them live yet and when I do, I want it to be Muse's own tour.... Shit, thee biggest grin just spread across my face at the thought of it. :$

Dutch, how much did you pay to see Muse in the States?

Well, I currently go to uni in the States, but I have flown to other countries to see them. In fact, the Mesa gig was the first time I had seen them in the States, I had seen them 11 other times, but in all in Europe.

The most I've ever paid to see them was in Switzerland in 2004 at the Paleo festival. This was including the cost of a train from Malmö, lodging and my ticket. It's not hard to believe that a train ticket was much more cheaper than what a plain ticket would be, and I received an additional discount for being a citizen of the EU.

I hope they play a Phoenix and Tucson show back to back... The Fall Ball show in Tucson wasn't ideal.

Haha I heard that gig was absolute SHIT.

I heard that even the band was livid with the staff.

Ya, well it was a festival with Avenged Sevenfold headlining so you can imagine the sorts of people there...They stopped in the middle Forced In and yelled at the security staff for being too rough and apparently "kicking the shit out of some girl". Hope it didn't give them a bad impression of Tucson...

I'm still happy to take the blame for the rain at the gig!

It was like the cloud just Monty Python'd its way in from the side, rained and then chugged away again!

 That rain was weeeeird. I was quite confused. Maybe it was forecasting that I'd get ice and water poured on me later.

I hated the rain only because it delayed the show, so we missed out on a few songs because of the curfew. Probably the only time in my life where I hated rain.

Sorry I'm just getting to this now...

I totally thought you were from the states originally... whereabouts are you from then? I can't believe you've seen them 11 times! :supersad:

T'would be fun indeed. It all depends on how much everything is though. I didn't realize just how far Phoenix is from where I am... I thought it was a tad closer (clearly my geography skills are lacking). I actually asked my mom how many airmiles points she had and was on the airmiles website calculating how many points it takes to go to Phoenix a few weeks ago... She has enough for a flight there actually! But then she said she was going to use the points to go to Whistler, which would be a total waste. I may have to make do with going to gigs down in Washington and Oregon... and perhaps California, but then again that would probably be the most expensive state to go to, so maybe not. But shit... I want to go to Phoenix now.

Right, now I'm rambling and should really get off here so I can finish my paper...

CIAO FOR NOW. :awesome:
