garseys Posted July 11, 2010 Share Posted July 11, 2010 Just got home. I think they were drunk last night, as they matt kept smiling and staring into the cameras for ages. Also their costumes. I also think the reason they played the set as they did, was due to the constant, heavy rain yesterday - They even called the setlist "Miserable Oxegen"(laure got one) It was a fantastic gig, they were enjoying themselves. It was nice to see things mixed up. Yeah most bands were amazed people stuck about with the weather that bad. Kasabian and Florence definitely were! I'm glad I got the see editors again, they're awesome too and mainly did the greatest hits set! Btw I don't know about anyone else but I can see the guys winning best international live performance at the meteors for that. It was just superb. Every time they showed Dom behind his drums on the screen we got a crotch shot of the green unerpants From a distance Ali thought it was Lady Gaga at first Just waiting for my flight home right now. Not sure what's been said so I'll just reel off what I saw/thought. Laure got a setlist and it was titled "Miserable Oxegen" maybe the awesome setlist was their way for making up for the rain. They were on top form, Matt seemed on something and quite giddy which made for a far superior gig than normal, little twangs on riffs we hadn't heard before and by god the outro to SS was out of this world. Then the outfits, Dom just stood with the pipe looking like a right knob was hilarious. Without a doubt one of the better gigs I've been to in recent years, here's hoping it stays. +1 It was an amazing performance... not sure what they were on but they should keep taking it! Knights was amazing, one of the best one I have seen so far, SS was awesome, CE was tight and the riffage at the end of TIRO seemed to be never ending... and Matt thought he was a spice girl when he finished it by shouting "zigaziga!!" Firstly, sorry to anyone who's texts or calls I appeared to ignore, my phone got wet and although still working, the screen itself died for a few hours rendering it unusable. Like others said, as they progressed, the riffs became longer and more free. There was a pause for about 10-15 seconds after USE, where there was a glint in bellamy's eye. It looked as though he was either laughing about the possibility of playing feeling good to all the soggy people (He could have played Soaked, lol), or contemplating a surprise for a moment. It didn't even matter that the set was shorter than T, the way they shuffled the songs kept us guessing. This added another element of fun. Knights was awesome. Are you ok now!? see those irish crowds it was the same at Marlay lol Yes indeed! It's making me feel quite high!
