Clunge
Have you not learnt to read and write yet...? I'm assuming the 98 in your username refers to your year of birth making you... 11/12? Kids these days, pffft .
Niall
Listen here. Sounds like old Muse I think. Nice to have something new.
Clunge
Well... it's a good cover, it's just not a very good or inspiring song to start with .
PhantomBadger
Well... it's a good cover, it's just not a very good or inspiring song to start with . Quite. Bit boring but a lot better than the original imo
Niall
I really want to know why they covered it. Seems like such an obscure song to pick, completely unrelated to anything Muse have ever said or done.
L.
Thanks Niall. Not sure how I feel about it to me honest, it sounds a bit flat (same melody repeated over and over) and way too much cymbals imo, I was actually relieved when there was a break from them midway. Vocals are good though.
sparkle19
I don't really like it tbh, it's really repetitive and kinda dull.
Clunge
I really want to know why they covered it. Seems like such an obscure song to pick, completely unrelated to anything Muse have ever said or done. Sound of their teenage years, I guess. Mega City Four, from what I gather, enjoyed a brief spell of popularity on the back on bigger, more successful American grunge bands - you can hear the Smashing Pumpkins influence in the track and the likes. I just think it's Muse going back to what they were listening too when Muse was conceived.
Buxomflirter Queef
Meh. But better than a The Big Pink remix of the Resistance.

More sense to cover and obscure song then than something everyone is already familiar with like Nirvana or Rage I spose. Even if some don't like the song it's good we have an original b side (or two) than another load of remixes.
sparkle19
It kinda started to give me a headache But yea, it's nice it's not just a bunch of remixes, even if I don't like it
Olly.
heh I kinda like it. I had the 45 sec clip in my head for a fair of time.
Clunge
heh I kinda like it. I had the 45 sec clip in my head for a fair of time. Likewise, it has a sort of numbing, hypnotic effect after a while .
dogface
I just think Matt was clearing out a box of old clutter and found their CD in amoungst the gold discs etc. It's an OK track, which I personally feel is the best type to cover as there is the potential to improve upon the original.
But yea, it's nice it's not just a bunch of remixes, even if I don't like it I agree, it's nice to have some b-sides and not just some remixes... I don't know Prague might be a grower, however the full Popcorn is so much fun, really good.
