I like it.

The mixing is a hell of a lot better than I could do - didn't someone on youtube offer to help with that? (I know who that is - seems he's busy at the moment though)

Cheers dude, oh yes he did, it was ages back and I've not got around to hooking up with him.

Just wanted to mention...I've listened to most of the tracks, and I like them a lot. I can definitely hear some Muse in there too.

Needs vocals though, that'd be the icing on the cake ... or something like that!

Cheers James, they've all got vocal parts and lyrics written for them, I'm just warming my voice up a bit more before I commit anything to recording, lest I end up in the original material version of the horrible covers thread ;)

  • 2 weeks later...
I'm playing drums, but yeh that is my peddleboard, and yeh lots more than the guitarist.

That guitar is a washburn P2 with a gorgeous sparkley green finish and proper bigsby.

For some reason, your band reminds me of Testament, with some Hetfield in the vocals. I like it

why not do real guitar?

It was basically so i could get a really quick recording for my band to hear cause they need to put vocals to it so i just said id get them a rough one and tabs etc so eventually we'll get a recording of us playing it live :)

I have a tough job in my band  the singers havent done anything yet but ill make them! :p

the only thing i dont compose in my band is drums. it can be a hard gig, but what ever

Well i normally would but they gave us lyrics which didnt really help but they said it was supposed to be fast and the only way they'd hear its speed was through drums... Im kind of stuck in a rut cause the singers cant really sing and dont have any musical backgrounds so i have to really dumb down my method in a way

The Leptones http://www.myspace.com/theleptones

we've got a couple of songs up, still to be mastered though.

I dig it. :) I really think the vocals work well together. Maybe when you have it mastered you can add more/different harmonies. With that duo you could pull off something wicked. Harness the power. ;)

More of a fan of Bitter End than Here Tonight mainly cause of that little solo guitar and ending riff. It seems to have a little bit more go which got me hooked.

------------------------------------------------

Now... Might as well *cough* plug in my band *cough*. Well really, it's a band that I might soon be joining depending on whether or not they like my bass playing abilities

They are Of The Red Sea. Guess you can call it "Indie Rock". Influences include Fleet Foxes, Arcade Fire, The National, Phoenix, Interpol and Sigur Ros. Hovering around local arty venues around Newcastle and Sydney.

Listen to Of The Red Sea on either:

- Myspace: http://www.myspace.com/oftheredsea or

- TripleJ Unearthed: http://www.triplejunearthed.com/oftheredsea
