musekiddo
Some interesting info here about another DVD released next year containing 'unusual, obscure concerts', and another mention of going back to a more basic, three piece rock direction for the new album. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QomT0Hl7Q38&"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QomT0Hl7Q38& Edited November 12, 2013 by musekiddo
Bs
Interesting...I'm torn between believing it and looking forward to it, and not believing it and trying to avoid getting my hopes up, haha!
redneonfish
Interesting that he says he's already done a few things. I hope that the 20th Anniv thing isn't just a DVD release of Zepp...
eyduh
and another mention of going back to a more basic, three piece rock direction for the new album. they've mentioned it quite a few times it seems. still not buying it though

LiT
Finally, it's about time they drop soft pop, well too bad for Fabri.
Clunge
Oh man, if even half of that comes true - good times ahead. Disclaimer: 0% will come true.
kueller
I love how each build up Muse mention going more rock and stripped down and never do it yet fans believe it every time.

FabriPav
They're starting rehearsing for new stuff in january-february? That's earlier than expected. I wonder if this time they'll try new songs live before releasing/recording them. edit: "three piece rock sounding, maybe with more progressive elements but still just guitar bass and drums" sounds too good, don't want to get my hopes up. HolySheep
The next album sounds to good to be true.
ryanp16
I'm more concerned about "songs from when we were 15-16". That's bullshit. Unless Fury, Glorious, Hoodoo, Redemption and Space Dementia were all written then and just didn't see the light of day for ages.
Clunge
Boredom, Rain, Foramous, etc.
Nipso
I think it's a good idea if they touch them up a bit and add some other rarities.

Fuck that; The money we'll all be paying for tickets, transport, accommodation etc isn't for shit that they jammed out in their bedrooms... serpentsatellite
I have to agree... the REALLY old stuff isn't something I'd want to see except as part of a "obscure gigs" DVD, which would be really lovely if it was something like a multi-gig montage going down through the ages (of rarities, of course.) Even something as old as Agitated was really only exciting to see live (well, in YouTube vids for me) because it was FUCKING RARE. Not because it was that good. A gig of the ancient stuff would be... well, shitty... imo. I want Fury, Futurism, Eternally Missed, Spiral Static, fucking Glorious! (and a DVD release for the rest of us. :'( )

DifferentPerson
I wouldn't mind hearing one or two of the super-old songs live, as it would be interesting to see how they would sound nowadays with how much they've changed as a band since then. serpentsatellite
There's a few really old songs I'm okay with, but as a whole... Not so much. I think that's going back a little TOO far.
Nipso
I'd like to hear one or two old songs, of course I wouldn't want a whole gig of them but it would be interesting to hear the progression they've made since they first started writing. muse59200
I don't think there's so much early stuff, except what was released on demo, ep etc... http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/muse/1997/plymouth-hoe-plymouth-england-63d7a22f.html for example I think when he said " early stuff " he thinks about showbiz b-sides, host, twin, coma, jimmy kane etc... If it's our last chance to hear these songs, well, stop complaining.
