The Third Single: Follow Me

Maybe the "single" itself, as on the album and iTunes. However, the version that caught on the radio began with the "chorus," had the vocals on the first verse cranked up, the second verse removed, and had a thumping dance beat through the entire song...

It was an abomination... and unfortunately, a lot of people were pissed at the album version.

I'll see if I can find a link.

The top 40 stations got a more techno version of the single, I heard it when picking my kids up from school a lot. But the "alternative" and adult contemporary stations got the album version. Funny, my kids and I all prefer the album version. Guess I raised kiddos with good taste.

I always wondered how all of the Top 40 station listeners felt when they downloaded the actual song...

Not that the remix was awful, it was just tragic, I felt, that that's what they really had to do to make the song catch on the radio.

We don't have the greatest stations in my area, and even the "adult contemporary" station played a remix, just not quite as techno as the Top 40 one.

I don't know why people want a physical release so much... :$ If the band doesn't like B-sides, I'm okay with that... physical releases with B-Sides are just a way to squish more money out of fans that already own the main song...

Oh so it seems that Follow Me is the second single from The 2nd Law, as is said on the official Muse Facebook page. Interesting. I see, so then Panic Station is probably the third single, you guys were right. (and silly to be discussing the 3rd single before the 2nd single was even out).

But we knew that since a month actually

You know that we counted Survival as a single, don't you?

(and also, official Muse Facebook page? that's just muse.mu news for not-really-Musers)

He does, he's just rubbing it in people's faces that Muse are calling it their second single.

Based on the fact there's already a lyric video surfaced for it, id say FM is the next single. Panic station is 3rd, gotta be as they're getting a lot of commercialism from it already. Survival has technically been released to charts, so that could be our 4. If they do a fifth, im actually thinking it'll be a censored Animals if anything based on performances. There's no way it'll be supremacy, if they were to, it would be the new single out next because they could cash in off of Skyfall heavily.

You must have missed that Follow Me is already announced as the next single.
