Hat
Starting to feel like this song is becoming vastly overrated. Still good ofc. But seems to be praised for things that aren't really that special. Like the post above

Alec Ferris
Regarding the structure again... I've just noticed that the solo is actually in place of the second verse(or where you'd expect the second verse to be), which is so cool. That's a trick Tool have played on a couple of songs, I wonder if that's where Muse got it from.

Hat
Did you imply that you don't understand how people think this song is special? No, I totally understand it. It's because they like riffs, falsetto and solos that replace the second verse.

But seems to be praised for things that aren't really that special. I agree. It's really good, but it's not as good as everyone makes it out to be (which is that they think that it's the next best thing to sliced bread.) It's great, but not "ZOMGMUSE!!!111!!1!1 :D " great. It's no KoC, New Born, Ruled by Secrecy, etc. for example.
Peter.
It's no KoC, New Born, Ruled by Secrecy, etc. for example. no it's not. it's better than any of those songs.
Anxyous
The first verse is too long and ruins the flow. The 2nd is the same on guitar. Maybe it's an opinion. Maybe it's maybelline. You've already used the Maybelline-joke.

I've just noticed that the solo is actually in place of the second verse(or where you'd expect the second verse to be), which is so cool. ...Isn't that how solos normally work? That is, they connect two choruses, just like a verse does. On a related note, I find sliced bread massively overrated.

I'm not saying it isn't good, just that the general opinion regarding sliced bread is way too high. People make it out to be the best thing since sliced bread, if you catch my drift. And if you couldn't drink alcohol, how could you possibly be happy? In short, sliced bread is the root of happiness.
