Cjaister Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 im looking for a awesome live show to watch and to put on my ipod ;0
CarrieB Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 I'm not saying it is the best but, from what I've seen, I think the Bizarre show looked pretty crazy when Matt had blue hair. That might be on muse bootlegs.
Hat Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Bizarre 2000, MCM 1999, Glastonbury 2004, Earls Court 2004, Reading 2006, Royal Albert Hall 2008.
Cjaister Posted September 2, 2011 Author Posted September 2, 2011 Montreux is batshit crazy. You are flippin goddamn right! thanks!! hyper music is EPIC.
Hat Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 If you want newer shows, get Fuji Rock 2010, Rock Am Ring 2010 and R/L 2011 when that's done.
Ryoma-kun Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Just some personal favourites of newer shows: Madrid 2009 has a great MK Ultra, Uprising and USoE. Those are audio only but are professional recordings. Shepherd's Bush has imo the best Starlight and SMBH. Showbiz at Reading 2006, KoC at Fuji Rock 2010... Many more but it's a start.
QubiQ Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 Well, if I'd say, I'd better choose the shows which I've been to and experienced...sadly I can think of none. All of the gigs I went to were pretty much well-calculated and certainly not crazy. But maybe what the above postes have said^
Kenshin11212 Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 MCM 1999 was their best show imo. I also love Shepherds Bush 2000. The Kroq Inland Invasion 2004 had one of their best Stockholm Syndromes. As for crazy? Idk Anything 2000-2002 was fucking crazy as hell.
vegardrv Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 Pretty much anything from 2002 is just pure craziness..
JessicaSarahS Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 If you want newer shows, get Fuji Rock 2010. So good. Bizarre and Montreux shows are my go-to videos when I want to see some craziness.
Olly. Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Oxegen 2011 was odd when dom arrived at the intro dressed up as gaga smoking a pipe in under pants and then matt turning up in a space bubble raincoat and opening with PIB.
L. Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 As nobody has mentioned it yet (I think): Euro rock Belfort 2000. Oxegen 2011 was odd when dom arrived at the intro dressed up as gaga smoking a pipe in under pants and then matt turning up in a space bubble raincoat and opening with PIB. You can say that!! That was a real "wtf" moment!
vegardrv Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 As nobody has mentioned it yet (I think): Euro rock Belfort 2000. Do you mean Eurockéennes ?
FearAndPanic Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 The gig in Atlanta where Matt smashed his lip open with his guitar.
QubiQ Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 The gig in Atlanta where Matt smashed his lip open with his guitar. Craziest, yes (not the best though)
Banksy. Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Do you mean Eurockéennes ? Yeah, that's the one. Cannot believe no-one has mentioned London Astoria 2000 yet. Easily my favourite Muse performance in terms of the whole gig. If only it was longer.
dave790 Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Reading 2002. I suppose it wasn't that crazy but... It was during what was the best era of the band, in my opinion. First time I'd seen them live, I was in love with the Hullabaloo set and the Dead Star/In Your World double a-side, and I couldn't have been more excited about the gig and the bands future. New Born opened and it started pissing down with rain, but it added to the atmosphere. They then went straight into an early version of The Small Print. It blew me away, I became obsessed with the song until it's release. It probably never matched the version I heard that night, but then it'd become almost mythical how good it was in my head in the build up to Absolution! They also played Eternally Missed (Rusty One on the bootlegs) and a few other surprises...the best of which was the SS riff - with added metallic instrumental riffs - which came out of nowhere. So for me it was crazy, as I got to see songs that I loved with little updates - e.g. Matt jazzing up the Dead Star riff, or him playing the second bridge to Muscle Museum as on record for the first time in ages - and I also got to hear a load of new songs for the first time. What a gig!
dontask Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 That 2007 Japanese one with the long ass set gets a special mention. Plus it includes the BHAR now-rarities that I love.
Zolic Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 That 2007 Japanese one with the long ass set gets a special mention. Plus it includes the BHAR now-rarities that I love. That would be the Tokyo International Forum, March 12 for anyone interested (Hope I'm not remembering wrong now)
