    That's why I said "It won't happen in this case". I'm more asking wondering if the board would excitedly freak out or be really nervous at them doing something different from their normal cycle. Of course it would depend on the quality of the songs, and that wasn't the question.

    This was posted on the Muse subreddit, and I'm not sure how legit it is, but according to this instagram post: https://www.instagram.com/p/BRljF3clyFP/, three songs being recorded, one heavy, and two non-heavy. No idea who this guy is, so if anybody else knows that would be great.

    I see all of the album's flaws, but I still like it. Objectively, I should think it's crap, but I unironically like it.

    It'll be something in the vein of New Kind of Kick. I think they may put out a couple singles spaced out. It's definitely not a new album.

    It seems like that last option is probably the likeliest. If we take everything NME has said about the next album as gospel, Muse will go dark and experimental, step things back a little and go acoustic, and dabble in hip-hop.
