Guiding Light isn't that bad.

3. The Resistance is just a great album in general.

4. Dead Star is an alright song, not godly like some say it is.

 

I agree with you about all of those except for the underlined bit. I'd go as far as to say that Falling Down is in my Top 10.

2. Feeling Good is awesome live.

3. Starlight is actually really good live as well.

4. Exo Politics is awesome.

5. IBTY is awesome. The french part is also the highlight of the song.

6. NSC, from the clips, has the potential to be brilliant.

NSC is absolutely and utterly made of cheese. According to the 30 second clip, it looks like it's going to be Resistance II. No, seriously, I'm not joking. It sounds SO similar to Resistance. But less catchy, and cheesier. Those lyrics...

Y'know, I wouldn't even be surprised if the words 'Neutron Star Collision' don't feature in the lyrics.

Okay, I think that's enough NSC bashing for now.

 

Let's talk Showbiz!

Easily better than The Resistance, IMO. Well, I think so at least. Go ahead and shoot me. It's just me. Everyone bashes it up, saying it's the worst album, hands down. It's not THAT BAD. I think it's the album with the most emotion put into it. Even if that emotion is all just Matt's sorrowful, angsty, furious...Erm..Arousal?

I don't even care. I love this album to bits. There are some pretty special tracks on it- Showbiz, HT&ILY, Sunburn, MM, Uno, Fillip, Cave, Escape, Sober, Overdue, Falling Down, and, uh...Oh, wait...

 

I REST MY CASE. SHOWBIZ IS AWESOME.

Muscle Museum is kinda shit. Even though I still like it, there are way better Muse tracks. Including those on Showbiz.

 

The NSC generalizations are annoying, even if they are people's "opinions" and whatnot. Also the comparisons to other songs are just as annoying. It's 30 seconds, wait till you can actually hear the entire song.

The good thing about Showbiz is that it is coherent all the way through, the whole album has a kind of similar vibe. Some of the songs are fairly weak though. But like the last 2 albums it does have 4 or 5 awesome tracks on it.

It seems a bit boring to me. The Live at BDO in '04 version is pretty sweet, other than that it's just alright. The video is downright terrible though.
