NaZZeX
From what I've seen (on the manual) and heard (on youtube demos), I think this is probably the best modelling amp.
Fernando
Which doesn't necessarily mean it's a great amp.
NaZZeX
Which doesn't necessarily mean it's a great amp. No, granted, it doesnt necessarily have to be. But it is indeed a dream for practice/recording stuff.

The cheap things often don't live up to the hype though. I'll admit it does look hopeful.
Guest bshuker
I'm thinking its gonna be a pretty killer little combo, certainly covers all the bases for practicing with the built in looper and tuner etc. Soincally...probably not going to be amazing, but none of the modellers are, that said, Revavler 3 (which is Peavey made) is really fantastic, the best software modelling around. So I've got high hopes for the Vypyr, the videos of the solid state models are certainly promising.

whatshisface
anyone had experience with a visual sound jekyll and hyde? people say that the distortion is supposedly based on the marshall shredmaster so I'd like to get some opinions. Also, anyone have a vox ac15 and can tell me if it's loud enough for medium sized gigs?
Marvolo
Thinking of getting a pedalboard.I'll probably just go for one of these unless anyone has any better recommendations.

Marvolo
make one! Hahaha,I was thinking that but I don't know if it would hold being transported around so much. And I'm a lazy fuck, unless it comes to making Big Muffs.
Dramatic Hammer
Thinking of getting a pedalboard.I'll probably just go for one of these unless anyone has any better recommendations. If you have any pedals that require non 9v power, I'd ignore boards with a built in supply...

the_man361
sweet... http://experimentalistsanonymous.com/stuff/paralleluniverse/ is it just my ears messing around, or is his guitar horrendously out of tune in the demo video?

NaZZeX
Could any Mex Strat owner please tell me whether the Mex Strat is great value for money or should I proceed to get the Fender Custom FMT HH? I know the trem system sucks but I doubt I'll be using that anyway. If I do get the MIM HSS Strat instead, I'll almost immediately swap out the pickups for a BKP HSS Set consisting of a Nailbomb and two Irish Tours. EDIT: Only two weeks until I purchase the guitar. . jonnno
What do you want to swap the pickups out immediately for??
NaZZeX
The reviews I've read about the Mexican Strats said that they were a little weak and there is a terrible hum from the single coils (more so than usual). The youtube reviews have also confirmed this. This is why I'm asking you guys for advice. Thanks in advance.
jonnno
I still think you should give the stock pickups a shot, if the hum is bad then shield the electronics of the guitar. up to you i guess...
NaZZeX
I will, in the store. I'm trying to get a 90's MIM Strat because I heard the pickups are hotter. That way, there wont be a need to change pickups for a long while. .
