I ended up not going for a single class on Wednesday lol Unofficially declared it a day off as I was still overwhelmed by the whole Placebo effect. Met up with Chloe round bout 11am, we headed straight for Batu Caves. The idea was of course just to show her round a bit, lunch, then I send her back in hopes that I'd make it back for my 330pm class. Little did we know how loooong that day would turn out lol. Monkeys were "friendly", albeit a little scary for her but they were aplenty. Do you think if monkeys drink F&N, they'd turn gassy...? Anyway, after that Chloe was rather interested in the canopy walk in FRIM. I was not exactly up for it at first because it was already a little past noon and the weather would be ridiculous should we choose to hike. Oh but what fun would that be? Took it up as an impromptu adventure since FRIM is only 15 mins away in Kepong. Before we knew it, we found ourselves 30 meters above ground swaying from treetops, after a loooong 1.5km hike, that is... and without proper hiking equipments! Fun times..? probably not very pleasant but it was surely an experience. It was so random. A lot happened in between, including interesting convos as to how Placebo would react if they were in our positions...hiking in a forest reserve. Brian would most certainly throw a bitch fit "omg! I broke a nail!!/chipped my nail polish!!" etc. We were really dehydrated, a lot went through our heads hahaha. At the end of the day, we had dinner instead and she tried the nasi lemak rendang from Old Town Kopitiam. She loved it despite feeling extremely exhausted by then! I'm really curious as to how Placebo's SG show turned out. I heard the fan turn out was a little disappointing -------------------- Hahahahah Aida your pic captions are hilarious. Wet Brian? Enjoying himself? Heee. I really can't wait for the pictures from Iris' camera. Those were some great shots! Zomg that vid and hug :awesome: I wish there was a vid of the whole incident, that would've been quite an interesting sight. It's kinda etched in my memory though... Steve - approaching crowd to shake hands - Brian - prod - Steve - crowd surfed - security panicked - Brian immediately regretting his actions - Steve - stuck - security frantically pulling him out - Steve dragged - Violinist taking pics - Brian biting his nails, worried for about 6 seconds - Stefan slightly amused - Steve safe - crowd cheered - Steve and Brian HUGGG I don't know if it's just me, but seriously this gig did things to me. I didn't notice it then, but when I came home to listen to the bootleg/studio version songs again, I felt different. (Or maybe it was after a day out with Chloe under the Sun.. Battle of the Sun!...) Perhaps not to the benefit of my classmates who were expecting me to show up for class, and I can't explain why this is any different, but it is. I can't quite put this down in words right now, but it's not like the after feeling I get after any gig. Do any of you feel this way too? One more song to add to the bunch. Ashtray Heart I do have the bootleg of the whole gig but a huge number of the songs are either interrupted with a muted sound or it became wayyyy too loud at certain parts that it's just not very pleasant to the ears, because it clearly does not justify the music Placebo churns out live! I guess the whole set would be up some day because I want it to be available online in case something bad happens to the raw files (*touchwood*). At the mean time, I'm more than happy to upload the good ones... with time :] If you have any requests though, request away!
