  1. AAaahhh!!! SO sorry for the late wishes but HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR GUYS!! HUAT AAaahhh!!!
  2. @deb Wah did you get on the Transformers ride? When I was there last year, even the Battlestar was closed. Super not worth it at that time. I'm going to Las Vegas + Grand Canyon and then NYC! Planning to do some serious shopping, enough for the whole of 2012.
  3. Thanks for the bday wishes! Ooh yeah I'm pretty set on Foos, haven't bought tickets yet though. Anyone coming to watch that? Miele? Ahh well, Deb, next time then! Everyone should do some shopping there. You can find almost anything in there; great for toiletries, groceries, maybe some electronics, and awesome indian food are outside 'round the corner. Good thing I'm not a fan of Death Cab, so I can save some money there. Sorry they don't have a date for Msia Deb! Where in the world are you now? I kinda lost track reading your tweets hahaha. It seems like it was just last week that I first made plans to go to the US but wow, I'm leaving next fri!!! Pretty excited as it's my first time. Dreading the long flight though. LAMC and some Muse fans are reminiscing the '07 Muse gig at fort canning. So nice to watch KOC from that gig again. Brings back damn good memories. I hope FTP can make a good second album. They've got quite the potential. (Cheyy, I sound like an album reviewer) Thanks yah for the wishes! Yep like Liz said, Fort Canning is pretty huge and plus, it's outdoors, so it sounds impossible to be sold out haha.
  4. Sorry I've only got time to express my feelings to this, AAAAAHHH!! I'm gona regret not going tonight!
  5. Thank kayu!! Yeah Don't Stop is probably my fave song. yeah yeAH!! FTP at fort canning sold out, and then they released more tix. Since when can fort canning park get sold out?
  6. Hahaha no I didn't buy the album... heh heh heh heh heh. Oh well, I really hope Muse comes to SG & KL next round. Looks like Muse still have their sense of humour. That studio snippet was funny. That new FTP single is pretty good. The video is good too! A case of stockholm syndrome i think. And I can't believe I've been a member of this forum since 2005. Gosh, it's been 6 & 1/2 years!
  7. Thanks for the recommendations Joelyn! I actually have Torches now (heh heh heh heh heh heh) and I'm trying to get into it. Faz we will always be young as long as we want! WOOHOOO!!! Miele! So far we have Scissor Sisters, FTP, Laneway Fest, Kasabian, Judas Priest + Lamb of God. I think that's it.. Dayum, thanks to twitter, I know all this haha. Deb it's ok! I figured you'd be busy! Just an act of courtesy lah . I'm jealous you went to the USS with the NEW rides!! How was the Transformers one? That time when I was there, Battlestar was closed. So not worth it. Glad you enjoyed yourself! Liz, I'm pretty glad Muse weren't in the latest Twilight OST. I learnt in an interview that Matt explained he promised the author, when she asked, to lend some songs for Twilight if it ever got made into a movie. SO it's pretty cool that he kept his promise imo.
  8. Yeoww! It's nice to see the Msian thread on the front page again . Oh Debbie Happy belated Birthday!! Sorry it's so belated. Yeah I'm definitely not going for either gigs. Not even FTP in Sg. I only know "pumped up kicks" and "call it what you want". Sad le.
  9. Haha I can never get tired watching that video. Hola! How's school!! I just discovered this when my colleague was going through the Mad Men soundtrack. It's The Tornados - Telstar. Matt's dad's band. The song that inspired some of Knights
  10. If there's one metal band you should watch, it's them! Maybe this video can warm you up... :chuckle:
  11. WOW I hope that happens!! Selamay Hari Raya to all of you too! And maaf zahir & batin
  12. I have not heard anything from the new album yet kekeke... I hope if they have a show here it's not going to be costly too. Ok I'm listening to Promises, Promises now. Is there a faint touch of country in there, somehow?
  13. Hi! Gosh, it's been a while. Nothing Muse-y to report. Hey TIM. I know you. Debbie, I've not seen Incubus live, and maybe this time if they come to SG, I will go watch.
  14. Thanks Miele! Actually I went for my honeymoon to the Maldives and Turkey immediately after the wedding. It was really nice! Wow Arrested Development sang "Everyday People" right? I like that song! Noor that's great news! What did your parents reward you with eh heh heh:D JC or poly now?
  15. Thanks for the birthday wishes woooO!!! So sweet. Noor, how did you do?? Scott Pilgrim should've been shown here, why did they not do it! I love the motion graphics in it. LOVE IT. Yeah it's almost as good as Hot Fuzz with the Edgar Wright/Nira Park combo. I checked out Wallace Wells in illustrated form and yeah, he looked better on-screen hahaha. And Beck's music was so perfect for the band haha. I still wonder how Scott Pilgrim can afford the Rickenbacker bass.
  16. I don't know how to download the xmas present... Getting an official holiday because your country won a soccer match? Can only happen elsewhere other than Singapore hahaha. Congrats on the win Harimau Malaya! And Happy New Year Musers! @Noor Yah lah I feel like I'm filming the band too! Pretty neat. Has anyone watched Scott Pilgrim? I love it!
  17. AWWW thank you so much all you beautiful peopo! I really appreciate the well wishes! I hope the future muser kids have big hair. Sorry for being sneaky, I tend to keep things inconspicuous... We had a live jazz trio for our dinner reception. I asked the singer prior to the wedding day if she could cover Feeling Good. I told her I love the Muse rendition, but if they did the Nina Simone version I'd be happy too. But they did the Muse version but very toned down of course!! That was awesome. I was tapping my feet while I was on the dais hahaha. And Merry Xmas to everyone! Have a great one!! Oh, is the Muse present this year KICK ASS OR WUDD?!!! Love the view of the stadium from Dom's camera.
  18. No mention of an Asian tour in this interview. http://www.muselive.com/forums.php?m=posts&q=49479&n=last#bottom
  19. Thanks Liz! Sure was fun! Wow I love that trailer, especially the end titles portion. I actually don't mind watching this movie. Wow if MGMT were to perform in only KL in Feb, that would suck for me but I'd still want to watch them live! Looks like Muse aren't taking a break yet early next year, with a South American tour in support of U2. That's in March, so that leaves "after Christmas" free for Asia, perhaps?
  20. Yes Omar is my new friend. I still owe him supper cos the show ended at 12am and he thought it was late. He had to go back to JB to his aunt's place, then drive back up to KL on Friday to start work at 6pm!!! HARDCORE. The setlist I can't remember in its entirety nor it's order, but it went something like this: intro Worm Mountain Silver Trembling Hands She Don't Use Jelly (!!!!) The Sparrow Looks Up At The Machine I Can Be a Frog (very fun interaction with the audience hahaha) Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots part 1 (gutted that they only played the acoustic version) See The Leaves (i think) encore The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song ("i'm so happy") Do You Realize (must end with this) The pictures are on my facebook. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=92572&id=1451191055&l=35bffcc9c0 When I'm 49 I want to have hair like Wayne Coyne.
  21. Thanks guys for the help! It turned out pretty well and I managed to go!! IT WAS BLOODY GOOD, THE FLAMING LIPS!!! On that night itself, some dude named Omar email-ed me about joining him and his friend for the road trip down to Singapore for the show (he must've gotten my email from the Junk website, and yes Miele I am ewoksoldier! Did you read my lame entry? ). So I replied that I'm in Singapore and asked him if he can be arsed to help a stranger and get me my tickets from Junk HQ, highlighting the fact that he can run away with them and that I can do nothing about it. In return, I'd treat him and his friend to supper after the show. He replied with a very sincere "yes"! So this super-duper nice fella did get me my tickets at 10am SHARP thurs morning, and gave me a call right away to assure me that he's not running away with it! Such a nice fella right.. I brought my lucky friend along and we met Omar and his friend at Marina Bay Sands (it was their first time driving into Singapore and kudos to him for finding his way through this extremely confusing place) after work. I think he's the last human being of this kind (helpful, selfless, honest). I received my tickets and he said he'll take a smoke while my friend and I go look for something to eat (but we didn't in the end). Apparently there isn't a single fast-food restaurant in that bloody huge place. Not a big fan of fast-food but we needed to bite into something light just before the show, so we ended up with coke. Then we went to the exhibition hall and there was a queue. Went to check out the merch stalls and I bought a tee. I loved it. We decided to join the queue but soon after, Omar came and called us to his BIG group of friends who came down from KL too, and they were near the front of the queue!! Then I spotted my colleague (who's a freelancer so I had no idea she was attending the show too) on the other side of the queue, where we were a minute ago and I did the right thing by passing along the good deed, so I pulled her to our huge group of cool people (apparently some of them are in a Malaysian band called Flocks, if i heard correctly... google isn't giving me any result so I must have heard wrongly then). Then it was 8pm and we were ushered into the hall and it was the beginning of a lot of surprises for me. That is all. I'll post the pics soon! I believe this was the most fun I had in a concert. Wayne Coyne sure knows what he's doing.
  22. Yes I'm watching Maiden and I hope that the tickets don't get sold out when I buy them this Sunday. On other news, I've won tickets to The Flaming Lips but unfortunately the pick up is at Junk's office in Petaling Jaya. Anyone happen to want to go this Thurs? Also, just wondering, how much does it cost and how long does it take to use the fastest mail service ever created to send the tickets in Malaysia to Singapore?
  23. Wow good thing I didn't know it was so cheap otherwise I'd have skewed my way down there. Looking forward to the next one, in a year's time. :'( Mel I hope you nurse it back to care within the week! You can do it! And I didn't know you're an actrice in the making?
