the pearl guy Posted December 22, 2004 Posted December 22, 2004 the make sure all your gear like toms n cymbals are all set at the same heigh and positions each time u set it up again. i think... theres probably a much more technical way of explaining that.
GooseJuice Posted December 23, 2004 Posted December 23, 2004 That memory lock look ugly, it takes up space and make your drums and stands look naff, what I do is just put a permanent marker where the tom or floor tom leg height goes, and it's unviewable. And when you want to reposition / re move something, white spirit takes it off. Â Tadaa.
DominicHoward Posted December 24, 2004 Posted December 24, 2004 I'd prefer to use a memory lock tbh. Where can you buy them separately, might get a few in after xmas
GooseJuice Posted December 24, 2004 Posted December 24, 2004 I've never seen that sort of memory lock before, it must be some special Tama one? You can get normal little ones anywhere really, just make sure it fits onto the stand / clamp / whatever. All the big companies have them, DW, Pearl, etc, can't go wrong with a named brand.
the pearl guy Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 what are hot rods? ta daa "for when brushes are to quiet and sticks are to loud" there made up of small rods of wood taped together, there quieter than normal sticks.
GooseJuice Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 ^^^^^^^^ ha, good safeways stick holder i used to gaffa tape a pringles can to my hi hat stand for a stick holder.

GooseJuice Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 what heads you getting? Get some Aquarian's! first time i've had them and they're killer, specially the superkick on the bass. for 2 ply over 1 ply check out double thins over classic clear or for 1 ply over 7.5 ply check out classic clear over hi-frequency thats what i recommend for toms
the pearl guy Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 going for the g1 on the reso and g2 on the batter, or maybye ambassador on the reso and emporer on the batter but the shop near me is very anti remo so i will probably go for the evans. i would get some aquarians but nowhere near where i live stocks them. i though of getting some aquarians but nowhere near where i live stocks them and i dont like buying drum things on the internet, i like to try them out first. i may go for some next time i look for heads. i need to upgrade my cymbals first before i look for heads again. updated pics in my sig btw.
the pearl guy Posted January 1, 2005 Posted January 1, 2005 cheers its my baby, i love it to bits. its getting g1's and g2's on monday.

6ixty_6ix Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 i see what type of cymbals are you planning to purchase?
the pearl guy Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 k custom hats, k custom special dry ride, then some sabian aax crashes, and an aaxplosion crash too, and a k mini china. i just need tof ind that briefcase filled with hundreds of £50 notes....
GooseJuice Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 Very nice choices of the hats and ride May I ask why you're getting sabian crashes with zildjian hats and ride? Seems odd to me, becuase I'm sad, I have to everything of the same company.
