By the sounds of interviews a few months ago, he went through some spots of feeling down, maybe even depressed, between the end of last tour and the start of this one so he might've lacked the motivation to do cardio and whatnot to be fair.

Apparently he's been feeling better since then though, so I don't know why he hasn't started.

I actually just saw a few songs from that last Lollapalooza gig for the first time, and now I'm starting to wonder if it IS more than his being in terrible shape (although I thought that was clearly true, as well.)

If the answer was "sheer laziness"... I mean, would you *really* be okay going out there sounding like that...?

This is their job.

Also, it sounds like it hurts.

Jus saw a pic on Twitter, with many people on the floor but not much seated in the venue, so I guess pretty soon, but I don't know the exact time.

Looks like it started, but the pic is strange..looks like Matt, but the others ....or is it another drum kit ? @rokkkaholic: Getting to a new high (@ MUSE Live in Bangkok) https://t.co/EJvKRqF8Kj http://t.co/h3rPRGjCKt

That's definitely not Muse. There's four on stage.

Edit: oh wait lol

Happy that CE is shaping up to be a regular.

Matt said something like "we're bringing it back from the dead" tonight. Had a blast at the show anyway. Resistance is much improved compared to 2009, though I preferred it when he played the intro on guitar with the doubleneck, and MWAH sounded better than ever surprisingly. Surprised at no SS or The Handler but hearing CE again was great and the first few songs form a great opener. Had a great time anyway, as much as the board always hates on the mostly casual setlists. :chuckle:

No SS has been a pretty common thing this year tbh. Wonder if The Handler's started to be dropped for it's vocals.

Think I just assumed they'd play SS as it was played at both of the last two shows in China, but we got Uprising instead. On balance, I'd have preferred SS as it's always a great song live, but I can't complain too much. The performances at least were top notch, and I enjoyed the show overall. Thought The Handler or Defector might get another showing with it being the full album tour now, but it was they first time they'd played here apparently so they might have prioritised some songs like TIRO based on that.

I am actually quite surprised at the lack of The Handler. Why on earth remove a clear fan favorite from the current album in favor of more old stuff...?

Except, those setlists also seemed quite short.

Like I said earlier, might be the vocals. He's sounded strained during it ever since Download really.
