X3RICK001
Can someone tell me please the guitar effect used on the solo Stockholm Syndrome, the one he used on Earls Court, that kind of auto wah or something please:)
Lozo
If you speak about the intro riff @Earls Court, he uses the built-in wah probe I think... And for the solo, it's a flanger. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Jaicen
Solo is phase90 set slow. Intro was the wah probe, I think he used that on the hullabaloo shows too if you look that up. Doesn't use it much after that afaik.

But maybe that's just my ears
tomrulez
Flange is just a more aggressive phase effect but I'm pretty sure it was the phase 90.
james90
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1qomAni9tA That doesn't sound like a phase 90 to me
Phill
It's the phaser on the mod pro unit I think
sidious911
Sounds just like a phaser to me, just a nice slow sweep.
Lozo
Flange is just a more aggressive phase effect but I'm pretty sure it was the phase 90. Well, I'm not an expert, so I don't know the difference between phaser and flanger (I mean, the difference in term of physics), but I'm pretty sure the flanger is more than an agressive phase effect. For me it's just completely different. I'm still sure it's not a phaser but a flanger, but again I may be wrong

Flangers use delay and phasers use filters. I'd go with phaser with a lot of feedback blended with the original signal rather than flanging, which would sound more "aeroplane"-esque in comparison. haze015
Just quickly done this in Ableton. http://www.sendspace.com/file/pwxzao Using a preset in Tension for the naff synthy guitar sound going into two instances of Amplitube 3 with the Soldano emulation and one of those has ArtsAcoustic Big Rock (An EHX Small Stone emulation) on it after the amp sim in "advanced" mode with colour, amount and mix all maxed. Sounds are a bitch to explain sometimes haha. Ex: Matt explaining Unsustainable, right after the weeoo weooo part do like boowww (or whatever it is he said exactly)
Lozo
Yeah I understand, I have lots of difficulties to explain/describe a sound in french, so you can imagine in english... That's why I have no argument when I say (to my ears) it's a flanger ^^

X3RICK001
And my last question for now... What is the fuzz that he uses on the solo? I already have a zvex fuzz factory
james90
And my last question for now... What is the fuzz that he uses on the solo? I already have a zvex fuzz factory It just sounds like distortion from the amp; not really a fuzz sound.
X3RICK001
What kind of amp do you think he used for that concert? Who knows what kind of vocal distortion did he used?
nerd herd
What kind of amp do you think he used for that concert? Who knows what kind of vocal distortion did he used? The guitar is most likely going through a Diezel VH4. He used a Sansamp PSA 1.1 for vocal distortion on the Absolution tour.
