  1. Hi guys! I plan to sell my MB-1. I'm not in a hurry and I don't want to sell it off. It's in (as) new condition. I studied abroad right after I received it (didn't bring it with me) and I play my Gibson 99% of the time since I'm back. I love it (needless to say it's an awesome guitar) but tastes change you know... and I'm not a collector Some specs: Matt black Normal chrome hardware (I mean not custom aluminum) MBK-2 FSK-101 (humbucker sized sustainer) with XY pad of course Hiscox hardcase certificate Like I said, I'm not in a hurry. I know some people could be interested here, before I put in on eBay or other marketplaces. You can PM me if you are. Please no stupid offer, no mars bar or whatever
  6. I'm not luthier or an expert. Some people here will help a lot more than me. But as far as I know, the wood doesn't make such a big difference (I mean less than people usually think), even more when it's alder and basswood which are both pretty neutral if I'm not mistaken. I only know that basswood is usually used for more budget guitars, I'm not very familiar with all its characteristics. The difference would be a lot more obvious between ash and mahogany. But it's not only a question of wood. Electronics, fretwork/neck, hardware are also important imo. Like I said, some people here should be able to advise you better than me.
  7. Well, if you buy a Cort and you add sustainer, MBK-2 and some custom hardware, you easily reach £1100. For that price you can almost buy an MA-2, ok without the sustainer, but still... Better wood quality, better electronics, better hardware etc. I'd like to buy a Cort and upgrade it, but to be honest i don't think it's worth it. I'm not saying it's a bad guitar, but I would rather buy an MA-2 for that price, and upgrade it later with the sustainer.
  8. Just read that Hugh is working on a Royal Blood bass with Cort. I guess some people here will be happy, if you don't know already. http://www.lazonedumusicien.com/IMG/pdf/CORT_MBC1-MBLK_Namm_News_Guitar_Part_252_-_Mars_2015_.pdf (it's written in french, last question/answer, couldn't find a version in english...)
  9. Yeah, are you sure that the Gotoh HAP fit? They don't propose it as an upgrade on MGW website.
  10. Well, I don't agree at all. I've almost ordered everything from them and I never had a single problem, never! Always delivered in more or less 3 days (and free most of the time), and never had to send back a product (that may be in that case you could have some problem, don't know). I might have been lucky, or you might not.
  11. Yep, I agree. Thomann is cheaper than anyone and they almost always have stock. Plus shipping is usually free above 200€ (at least on the french website).
  12. I'm very disappointed by the UK festivals line-ups... Only Glasto should be ok. I've been to Reading/Leeds for few years now and it is just incredibly bad this year. Werchter in Belgium has the best line-up by far. Never been there and don't know about the atmosphere, but it's a pretty big one. Muse, Kasabian, Foo Fighters, Gallagher, Royal Blood, Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, Mumford and Sons, Enter Shikari etc etc.
  13. Don't know what to do... Need more reviews and pictures The problem is that I also want a Gretsch Duo Jet (a bit pricey tho). Complete different thing I know, but since I have a Manson, no reason to buy a Cort. But we're not reasonable here, are we?
  14. Exactement pareil!
  16. I also have it and use it quite a lot to be honest. But like you say, for that price you could afford an MA (ok, probably not an MA-2, and no sustainer, but still...).
  17. I think the price is ok. For me the question would be more: is it worth it to have a sustainer that is almost the same price as the guitar? I may purchase the MBC-1 when there are more reviews/opinions. But I still don't know where. If I decide to have the sustainer, I'll purchase it at Manson for sure. But without it... Thomann probably.
  18. If I'm not mistaken, IF YOU ARE OUTSIDE OF THE EU you'll pay the price announced on Manson's website, minus the VAT (20%), plus the shipping cost. You may also pay the VAT of your country if you're country have one. Donno how it works in every country. If you live in France, which is in the EU, you'll pay the price announced on Manson's website (which includes the VAT), plus shipping cost.
