  1. Butterflies and Hurricanes (in particular the version with added guitar) is the quintessential Muse song for me. It encapsulates everything that is great about them, especially live.
  2. ^I'd happily take that. I do think it'll be Feeling Good in the piano slot though, it got a hell of a sing along in 2010. They could always play two, mind. I'd love to see B+H as well, and they were silly to not play Bliss last time as well.
  3. Don't get me wrong, Download was phenomenal. If they ever went back and didn't have to worry about new album songs though... [Close Encounters] 1. Knights of Cydonia 2. Psycho 3. Dead Star 4. The Handler 5. The Small Print 6. Hysteria 7. New Born 8. Supermassive Blackhole 9. Assassin 10. Hyper Music 11. Butterflies and Hurricanes 12. Map Of The Problematique 13. Time Is Running Out 14. Bliss 15. Reapers 16. Muscle Museum 17. Plug In Baby 18. Stockholm Syndrome
  4. Hope they go for Bliss instead of PiB and CE because it's been so long since they appeared on live DVDs. USoE, SS and Defector would be good as well. Fully expecting PiB, Resistance, Hysteria, UD and Feeling Good though.
  5. Assassin and AP ticked off for me last month leaves me with: 1. Muscle Museum 2. Showbiz 3. Sing for Absolution 4. Futurism 5. The Small Print Will be tough to hear any of those in the future, but one can dream!
  6. Yeah, 18 times since 2007 is an awful lot, I only started listening to them 2006 as well. I've got Glastonbury next month but I think that'll be the last one for a while for me. It's getting to the point now where I doubt I'll see any more songs for the first time anymore (barring songs from a new album tour); I got lucky with rotations at Wembley 2010, two Psycho tour gigs, Download/Leeds because of how they hyped them up as being 'different' and most recently London night 4...that was sheer luck with Assassin and AP. Songs like Uprising and SMBH have certainly lost a lot of their charm, but that's expected. Still, I've never seen them and thought "that was average". Every time has ranged from great to amazing. After this tour and the combination of short sets and expensive tickets I can't see myself seeing them more than once on future tours. Unless they start to play 22+ songs at the arenas and bring back/rotate more older tracks.
  7. After seeing them 18 times and Stockholm 15 times it's still a huge favourite of mine. Every time I think "will it be as good this time?" I continue to get blown away. Should be played at every show without question. Manchester 2010/2013 and Wembley 2007/10 remain personal highlights, blistering performances and amazing crowds. Perfect.
  8. It's probably already been done at some point but... 20 songs, only using tracks from odd numbered albums. Being a bit cheeky using Fury. 1. (JFK) + Defector 2. MK Ultra 3. The Small Print 4. The Handler 5. Unnatural Selection 6. Muscle Museum 7. Sing for Absolution 8. Apocalypse Please 9. Sunburn 10. Ruled By Secrecy 11. Uno 12. Fury 13. Cave (guitar) 14. Thoughts of a Dying Atheist 15. Hysteria 16. Showbiz 17. Exogenesis: Overture 18. Reapers 19. Butterflies and Hurricanes 20. Stockholm Syndrome
  9. Updated after the Drones tour, so glad I can finally add in Assassin and Apocalypse Please. 10. I'm also unsure about The Handler now; Matt struggles with it and he knows the whole thing will be broadcast live, New Born is less demanding and a live favourite so would be a good swap.
  11. Oh my word. Tonight was insane. First off, Assassin not getting played in Belfast after the Psycho tour is really, really rough. Genuinely really sorry for them. I can't believe they actually played it tonight, one of the best songs I've seen them do. Simply huge. I'm so made up they played AP too, I went in thinking it'd be definitely be USoE tonight. All in all an amazing gig. Can't stop smiling.
  12. I hope it's AP tonight and Eurasia/Butterflies tomorrow. I don't mind whatever else they play tonight. I feel this will be the last chance for AP for me, can see it being forever dropped after this tour If they're going to play Assassin I reckon it'll be on the final night.
  13. It seems like Chris and Dom genuinely want to play it, I wouldn't worry about annoying them. Matt just needs that...little extra push.
  14. Good man! I'm there tonight too. In the seats so I'll be looking for the sign It'd be great in the PiB/Bliss rotation spot or in place of SS. Fingers crossed!
  15. I say go for it; we all know Showbiz isn't going to happen but with the four nights in London there's at least a small chance they might consider Assassin for the SS slot. I'd make one myself but I'm up in the seats for these gigs.
  16. Good gig last night, my first since Download so it was never going to be an ultra heavy one, but overall it was a solid 7/10 for me. + strong opening + SS and the riffs after were brutal. Always happy to see CE and I didn't think I'd ever hear Revolt. Can tick that one off the list! + with the exception of TH falsetto, I thought Matt sounded good. Though he does miss an awful lot of vocal cues/marks. + the drones look great in motion + good performances all round. The people I was around were all stood and having a good ol' jig. + the sound was excellent - the 360 stage is a good idea on paper but it does lessen the enthusiasm of the crowd. This was really apparent during TIRO. Shame. - No TaB. Resistance for Map isn't an unfair rotation, I just much prefer the latter. - Madness needs to be dropped or at least rotated if he can no longer hit the A4s. - The amount of needless faff in there. There's room for at least two more songs without it. - I keep banging on about it, but I just want AP once I bet it'll get played on Monday. I'm going to Tuesday and Thursday haha.
