Even those whammy guitars are just Matt Blacks with floyds. The thing is, what more can he do, he's done kaoss pads n shit. Maybe like a multifoil kaoss guitar. The tonez need refreshing too, so far every era has had a different SMBH tone. The current one is meh

Same with most of the Drones songs tbh. In particular the studio version of Psycho. Live, the tone is great. Another thing- anyone identified what the live handler and reapers tone is supposed to be? Sound like a really mushy Diezel profile. I actually hate that tone, which is a bit of a contradiction, but yeah. Most of the Drone and ST era tones sound muffled in a way. Anyone know why?

Initially I liked the Matt Blacks, in particular his first one from T2L but now they just look bland and they'res no guitars to make the performance varied because they'res no variation in sound between them. There's no longer a guitar that "really screams" or one that he uses for "heavy riffs only". What i'm trying to say is that it's time that mansons with their own character need to come back, because apart from the 4 new Whammy guitars, there's nothing really exciting anymore

I fuckin love that. Also After a few months of solid graft and earrape, you'll be pleased to know i've got the 2nd Law SMBH/Madness/Uprising Outro/Unsustainable mental glitchy fuzz sound on me katana almost identical and it sounds massive on 50 watt setting. Roll off the bass and add some more gain and you get the current SMBH sound. Add reverb and you get close encounters. Will be uploading it soon onto tone studio.

I genuinely really like this song. It's not the Muse that originally attracted me over 10 years ago, but it's done really well. I know this is gonna be an unpopular opinion. I feel like this is Muse coming out of a lacklustre sequence of politically charged songs like most of the Drones songs and TC and DD. The lyrics are miles better, and the feeling this song conveys is a refreshing change. It reminds me slightly of Undisclosed Desires in that it's a pop song done well. It's better than a rock song done badly which was what TC and DD were.
