Jyrgen Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Tell that to Exogenesis part 2, quadruple octave awesome You get the point anyway
FearAndPanic Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 This is actually quite good, there's no real way for them to set it up other than using the actual note positions of a piano. Unlike the guitar where they simulate one string with a grand total of 5 frets. No idea how they'll set up four difficulties, there's only really one way to play a song without it being noticably wrong. At least this will be more musically educational.
juicyfrys Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Not a keytar Well technically it is but you can play it as a non keytar http://www.usatoday.com/tech/gaming/2010-06-10-rockband10_VA_N.htm http://www.usatoday.com/tech/gaming/2010-06-10-rockband10_ST_N.htm Video in the 2nd link Also here is a song list so far. Sadly no Muse yet: 2000s Combat Baby -- Metric Dead End Friends -- Them Crooked Vultures Get Free -- The Vines Lasso -- Phoenix Me Enamora -- Juanes Oh My God -- Ida Maria Portions of Foxes -- Rilo Kiley The Hardest Button to Button -- The White Stripes 1990s Been Caught Stealing -- Jane's Addiction In the Meantime -- Spacehog Plush -- Stone Temple Pilots Walkin' on the Sun -- Smash Mouth 1980s Crazy Train -- Ozzy Osbourne Here I Go Again -- Whitesnake I Love Rock and Roll -- Joan Jett Just Like Heaven -- The Cure Rainbow in the Dark -- Dio The Power of Love -- Huey Lewis and the News Sister Christian -- Night Ranger 1960s-1970s Bohemian Rhapsody -- Queen Break On Through -- The Doors Crosstown Traffic -- Jimi Hendrix
deathbyaspork1 Posted June 10, 2010 Author Posted June 10, 2010 Nice find! I've still got my fingers crossed, Butterflies and Hurricanes would be amazing. As long as we don't end up getting NSC I'll be content.

Yellow Regret Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 "The next installment in the Rock Band series will offer a “Pro” mode that enables the use of stringed guitars, cymbal attachments for the drums and a proper (though miniature) keyboard." Fuck Yeah! But how do I plug my guitar into my Wii?
Yellow Regret Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 And why is everyone going on about Newborn, you'd just play the intro and then sit there for 5 minutes. I predict, if any Muse songs, we'll get USOE, because that could utilise all the controllers.

Yellow Regret Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Maybe a live version or edit but the studio version is a bit too guitar oriented for them to showcase the keyboard in my opinion.

I could see that as part of the piano side of World Tour mode though especially with Collateral Damage.
Anxyous Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 60's/70's list is perfect so far! Won't get the game... And I'll bet you that UD will never be in it.
ryancoke93 Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Neutron Star Collision (Cheese is Forever) uses all the instruments
torelle Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 The keyboard is far too complex an instrument for it to be simplified into a plastic controller with brightly colored buttons.
Riveon Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Neutron Star Collision (Cheese is Forever) uses all the instruments No, no, no. Not even funny.
knightofcydonia14 Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 Keyboard songs that would work well in RB3 (I put this together very fast): Stockholm Syndrome (Piano during the chorus) Sunburn Butterflies and Hurricanes (Playing the piano solo would be the coolest thing ever(and VERY difficult)). Citizen Erased Cave ("Come in my CAAAAAAAAVEEE...") Bliss Space Dementia New Born Resistance Undisclosed Desires (Keytar anyone?) Time is Running Out (Minimal piano, but it still has it) Starlight (Piano could get too repetitive though) Apocalypse Please (Maybe?) In Your World (Intro)

Time is Running Out (Minimal piano, but it still has it) Starlight (Piano could get too repetitive though) Apocalypse Please (Maybe?) In Your World (Intro) Butterflies and Hurricanes could definitely work for keys as it's throughout the whole song. The solo however isn't as difficult as people think it is. It just sounds really complicated
jbyun04 Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 At E3 the producer just said there are 83 songs by 83 bands on disc. Here's hoping Muse are one of them!
Mechagodzilla Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 Keytar undisclosed desires anyone? Wait, it has a MIDI socket! Perhaps I could connect my Keyboard to the game and see if it'll work 'cause it has one too? Or, anyone lucky enough to own a MB-1 with kaoss pad could try too...
Tofu Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Wait, it has a MIDI socket! Perhaps I could connect my Keyboard to the game and see if it'll work 'cause it has one too? Or, anyone lucky enough to own a MB-1 with kaoss pad could try too... I heard they made it so that the instruments will work outside of the game for personal use. Personally I think Cave would work really well for this.

roflwofl89 Posted June 20, 2010 Posted June 20, 2010 I would buy the keyboard thing just to play whatever Muse song they picked...even UD, lol. Secretly hoping for Space Dementia though...:awesome:
Matty987 Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 Keytar undisclosed desires anyone? Wow that actually looks really cool, would be so awesome to play UD with the extended intro as per live
