james90
Now that I look at it.... I'll take a pic of my hands after the next gig when I do damage. I should use a quote from our lighting guy. Who told me "I've never seen you punch your guitar before.". After the last gig. I told him that he has not been watching close enough. JT punch?! checking out the pictures now. I love that suhr. also, unrelated, but do you have any thoughts on wet/dry amp setups? http://board.muse.mu/showthread.php?p=9750591#post9750591 trying to sort one out at the moment, but I have no idea what to do
Guest Batman.
American Tenants seem more legit. They are actually okay, prefer English Tenants though

JT I used to get it from playing with a pick on my old bass (horrible sharp bridge) but i've calmed down now. I do bleed a lot from drumming but that's bad technique Punching the guitar is a bit of a scary technique, I hope you're playing something seriously heavy! It best deserves its own thread as there is a lot of stuff to think about.

Dave.
By the sounds of it the intonation wasn't done properly leading to the out of tune sound. It happens to my guitar when the strings get old. Glad to here you're upgrading your guitar One other piece of advise would be to invest in a microphone and an xlr to usb cable. Having your amp mic'd correctly can do wondering for your sound. But would that not be quite expensive though? Plus i don't have any space in my bedroom for a microphone sadly.

Play till they break http://www.thomann.de/gb/superlux_pra_628_mkii.htm This mic is designed for a guitar amp. You could simply hang it over the top of the amp so it is in front of the speaker. http://www.thomann.de/gb/the_tbone_usb1x.htm This cable plugs straight into the microphone and into your computer via the USB. You can then download an audio program called Audacity which will detect the microphone and allow you do record covers. All of this plus shipping comes out at about £40 and it a perfect set-up for someone who wants to start getting into better recording methods. I was actually expecting it to be in the hundreds.

Nah, you can get a lot of really decent mics for well under a hundred quid. Obviously a stand and software and such adds a bit to that but I'm sure you could get started pretty cheap
