jurrassitol15 Posted November 5, 2010 Share Posted November 5, 2010 When you go to 5 gigs in a row, this happens: A) The band recognizes you, especially when you're in a mask B) You learn the names of all the crew, making it a lot easier to get gifts to the bands i.e. somehow we ended up befriending their escorts and the head of security C) You creep out the opening band, who is like WTF?! you again? Pretty sure Metric was scared of me I never got to meet Muse this week, but it was still awesome. Well, I did get to speak to Dom on the phone when my friend met him at least. Best week of my life! And all that stuff wasn't luck... Some things I asked for the day before for the next gig, haha. Signs help. But like Dom knew I was gonna ask for a drumstick because I sent a gift back and it said that in the note, and that combined with my sign helped him find me to toss me it at Charlottesville. The picks are another story all together... 2 were from camera men, 1 tossed to me by Chris in NJ, and the other a gift in return through their escort for gifts we had given Dom and Chris. Heh. I spent way too much money on silly things to chuck on stage or give to them through their escorts last week, like a leopard print pimp cane. /rant i think that's going to happen for me in december but i shall too be trying to get a haul like that...that's an amazing haul haley and that pimp cane is the most awesome thing i've seen Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Actually no. The harmonica Chris tossed too high but I still easily caught it. Hurt my hand, it's heavy! But I juggle, so I can catch and it's an automatic response. It was pretty BAMF though, catching it out of mid-air like that. The guys behind me were impressed... The drumstick I warned the people around me about. I mean, I caught that too, but I told the guy next to me I'd KILL him if he tried to steal it from me if Dom ended up tossing me one. So they were pre-warned. I did have to fight for one of the picks though. It fell right in front of me at the barrier and the guard didn't want to give it to me. I was like, dude, I have a fucking sign asking for picks. Chris tossed it to me. GIVE IT UP ALREADY! I think if anything both times I caught stuff the people around me were in awe going, "how did you do that? He came over and tossed it straight to YOU!"
