hyper_chondriac_muser
I won't talk about mine...it even scares me. The thing about a Muse collection is...don't try and get a "complete" collection because there are always new things coming up. Sometime unique things. Just go for things you find particularly interesting. A CD with a particular live version on a promo you like the look of. All the vinyls or all the cassettes or all the foil pack promos etc. Has anyone manged to get MUSE 1 to MUSE 20 promos? Ahh I very desperately want to own, like, EVERYTHING! But that's just impossible. I think your collection is the closest to it though *jealous* . I have to first get hold of all the rare stuff with a) alternate/other versions of songs (e.g. lots of promos) b) alternate covers etc, then worry about diff catalogue numbers, formats etc. I'm focusing on CDs and vinyls to start off with, then the other shiz. If I can actually be bothered with cassettes and VHS... I might just stick to attempting to have an extensive CD/vinyl collection for now, lol. I have a fair few so far, my Muse box is nearly full now, but I have a looooooooooooong way to go yet! But that's impossible as one of them is a mytery isn't it? And it only counts if you have the spanner and screwdriver! As for 1-20, there's no number 9 that anyone knows of, so that already makes it an impossible mission, plus I think Muse 19 is almost impossible to get hold of as well (the Hyper Music/Feeling Good one) ... maan I'm sad, too, for knowing which one lol! And +1, screwdriver/spanner ones are what I'm waiting on. The OoS one is easier to find than the Showbiz spanner from what I've seen. I desperately need funding in order to start building my collection again!
Gem
Muse 19 is the bane of my life. I've had to many near misses of getting hold of it! Ahh see, I knew one didn't exist! I so want Showbiz with a Spanner :'(
hyper_chondriac_muser
Muse 19 is the bane of my life. I've had to many near misses of getting hold of it! Ahh see, I knew one didn't exist! I so want Showbiz with a Spanner :'( I knooow it's ridiculous! Niall has it, I just have no idea how! I also don't see too many Muse 13s (Interview promo) about, but they're common in comparison to 19 ! Showbiz spanner is quite hard to find, too. Or I haven't been looking hard enough. I take it you have OoS with a screw driver? Waaant (both) . I saw one sell for £50 on eBay once, which is too much to pay, imo. Especially considering I've spent waaaaay more than any human should on the Muse and Muscle Museum EPs! Now they're selling for less than half the price I got them for. Won't make that mistake again *le sigh* lol.

I feel it'd be a messy route for me! But they're just so amazing with tools you have to get the tooled ones! Do you have them? MUSE 9 is the missing one. No idea what that was. Between Unintended and Muscle Museum Rerelease. Hmmm. Let's phone up Taste Media and ask! I have not go to tool. I have one Showbuz and two OoS but no tools! The two OoS promos are actually slightly different because the cases look differently under ultra violet light. That's what I'd recommend Dalia, going for the interesting all versions and different covers first and then finding some particular thing you like, no point buying a CD just because it has a different catalogue number for the sake of it. VHSs and UK promo CD-Rs are my area, I have two towers of VHS tapes! MUSE 19 is hard to find. As well as the New Born remixes and Interview promo. Yeah good point, that's kinda what I'm doing at the mo... getting hold of the 'interesting/alternative' versions and diff covers etc. before thinking about the rest. I've also split it into UK and foreign releases, and those into official and promo ... lol, yes I'm sad! You're the VHS King fo sho. Actually, looking at your listed collection on Musewiki, you're just the Muse collection god! Bleedin' hell, there can't be much that you don't have, surely?! Yeah, I'd rate 13, 16 and 19 as the hardest 3 to find. Dead Star (20) and Plug In Baby (11) also aren't That common, but they're not rare or anything. I've got the 12" New Born remix, just not the CD. I don't know that there ever was a MUSE 9? ... never heard any mention of it tbh. But it would be weird to just leave that one out completely. Oh wells... tis a mystery! I reeeeally want OoS screwdriver and Showbiz spanner, too, but whenever they're listed (not too often) they always sell for looads! map_of_your_head
I thought 19 was common, its others I dont have... How rare is it compared to the numbered EP's, does anyone know? I have colected for years, including some duplicates that I bought years ago with the intention to sell when Muse made it HUGE... and to be fair they're getting there now! milann89
Haha, I could hardly find Absolution and Showbiz. I have all four LP's and HAARP. I cannot buy things online, and I've got no relatives or friends abroad. I'd kill for Dead Star...
Bitmaster
I do have some stuff I haven't really found elsewhere again, but not sure if its so rare... not to me anymore anyway. Like these titles: Emergency (before it became Apocalypse Please) Nishe Twin (aka Balloonatic) Fury (aka Get A Grip) I Want You Now (before it became Hysteria) New One (aka Rusty One) Spectrum The Smallprint (before the album version, aka TSP) Falling Down (Acoustic) Piano Thing Razor Blades Shrinking the Universe The Gallery Muscle Museum (a different version) Muscle Museum (another different version) House of the Rising Sun (from the Warchild CD compilation) I've got all albums, dvds and single-cd's which contain many extra songs like these below (so not too rare, but not very commonly heard either): Yes Please Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want Eternally Missed Can't Take My Eyes Off You Futurism Hyper Chondriac Music Map Of Your Head Nature 1 Shine Spiral Static Bedroom Accoustics Coma Con-Science Do We Need This Forced In Host Jimmy Kane Pink Ego Box (aka Instant Messenger) Recess Easily The Groove Ashamed Crying Shame Agitated Some of those songs I find so good, I've always wondered why they weren't added to the official albums. The Groove, and Easily, for instance. And something like The Gallery (without the cracking) could be a nice interlude. Regards, Albert K. Dominic. Guest Octazooka
I saw that on Amazon, and several reviewers were complaining that it was the same exact thing as Burning Skies, just released under a different name. So it was a big ripoff if you already owned Burning Skies... The only slightly unusual thing I have is the book Out of This World: The Story of Muse, which was good, I thought. DAMN DAMN DAMN I'm looking for that book!! And I can't find it in my local bookstores at all, and I went to Kinokuniya to look for it. Kinokuniya!! DAMN Other than that:happy: I'm not a rather faithful Muse collector, seeing as I discovered Muse 3 years ago I've got: Showbiz (a friend passed to me, whose friend passed it to her for her birthday ) Absolution (bought it with my first pay packet ) BHAR ( bought it with my two weeks worth of pocket money savings! I like to save like mad and go hungry just to get albums)- My BHAR's packaging isn't in the jewel case format though, so is that considered rare? I would love to put up my Muse interview collection though, is it allowed? Cos this defunct mag used to interview Muse (Chris actually) when they came down to Singapore 2 years back and it's been shown a lot of love And I've got a torn-out picture of Matt from a issue of Kerrang!, I think that was December issue 3 years back I wanted the issue before that cos it had a Muse poster, but I didn't realize at that time Kerrang! is a weekly mag
