supwemacy Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 I'm making this thread to discuss Muse's festival stage for 2013-2015. Do you guys think that Muse will have a special stage for their festival shows? Hopefully they do not stay with the stage they had at the The Big Dance Concert Series. It was so damn boring in my opinion. I thought honeycomb stage at the Resistance Tour festival shows was pretty cool
supwemacy Posted July 17, 2013 Author Posted July 17, 2013 As of now they will be doing 5 this year. (Summer Sonic Festival, Hyundai Card Super Concert 19 City Break, Rock in Rio, iHeartRadio Music Festival, and Austin City Limits)
Clunge Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 It will be like the last two tours, I'd imagine - screens and lights, nout too extravagant.
Butrus Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 more like recent shows in St Goarshausen and Berlin I think - 3 small screens and that's all they did a lot more festivals during TR era (incl. Glasto) that's why they decided to have something special
MK333 Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 I hope they do never use those three screens like in Berlin together with the power station visuals.. This was so absurd. Just only for the festivals the big screens like in R&L together with these great visuals they had back then (SS, Bliss..)
FabriPav Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 I think it will be like that Atlanta festival, just a big screen
Dominic. Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 I'll be surprised if they'll do a festival gig. ? Do you mean this year? Which is pretty much given seeing as the main festival season is already halfway through, or throughout the whole 3 years of touring? I hope they do never use those three screens like in Berlin together with the power station visuals.. This was so absurd. Just only for the festivals the big screens like in R&L together with these great visuals they had back then (SS, Bliss..) I like the 3 screens I wish they'd focus more on the actual lighting than the screens/visuals
FabriPav Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Matt said they're not doing european festivals at all this tour, Dom
forevermusic Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 The only festivals they're doing are Japan, USA, Brazil and Argentina - not a full run of the Euro festival circuit like they did in 2010.
Dominic. Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Matt said they're not doing european festivals at all this tour, Dom What? Not at all in 2014 or 15? Actually they won't be touring in 15 will they, forgot album came out last year Iuno, I just kinda imagine them doing at least V Festival or T in the Park
supwemacy Posted July 17, 2013 Author Posted July 17, 2013 What? Not at all in 2014 or 15? Actually they won't be touring in 15 will they, forgot album came out last year Iuno, I just kinda imagine them doing at least V Festival or T in the Park I forgot The 2nd Law came out a year ago too And I could imagine them doing at least one European festival
iwillbechasingastarlight Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 What? Not at all in 2014 or 15? Actually they won't be touring in 15 will they, forgot album came out last year They will probably start the tour for the LP7 in 2015
DanM. Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 I hope they'll bring to Rock in Rio half of the power station and the catwalk (like they did in Berlin). Â The Olympic Park's City of Rock is so damn big, and there will be 85.000 heads there. I believe that not less than 95% wanna see Muse, making it one of their biggest crowds of this tour (surely the loudest one! haha), even being a festival gig. So, we deserve something special Â
forevermusic Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 What? Not at all in 2014 or 15? Actually they won't be touring in 15 will they, forgot album came out last year Iuno, I just kinda imagine them doing at least V Festival or T in the Park  2014 will probably just be the anniversary tour, and 2015 will most likely be LP7 touring (assuming they follow the release-every-3-year-pattern they've done since Absolution).
mackemmuse Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 still think they will do v, iow or titp next year They played British festivals a year after the main stadium gigs on the past tours 2008 - V 2011 - Leeds/Reading Heres hoping anyway
Funny Muffin Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 In relation to festivals, I hope Muse plays Ottawa's Bluesfest or Montreal's Osheaga next year
NixonNUFC Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Heard that for Glastonbury 2014 they want Oasis, Bowie, and Muse.
Daekdroom Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Heard that for Glastonbury 2014 they want Oasis, Bowie, and Muse. And you believe rumors that mention a band that doesn't even exist anymore?
DifferentPerson Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 And you believe rumors that mention a band that doesn't even exist anymore? Actually it's quite possible that Oasis might get back together next year for a one off thing for the 20th anniversary of Definitely Maybe. This is also only a rumour of course.
Butrus Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 If Bowie plays Glasto 14 I absolutely MUST be there. There's no other way. I'll face all possible challenges I heard that Eavis has already booked headline acts for 2014.
FabriPav Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 I'll be more than happy to go on a smaller stage if Oasis are headlining
Moonlight__ Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 If Bowie plays Glasto 14 I absolutely MUST be there. There's no other way. I'll face all possible challenges I heard that Eavis has already booked headline acts for 2014. Me too! omg. Bowie is one of my heroes. would be great to see Bowie, Muse and Oasis or maybe Daft Punk or something headline. Heard that too. would love to know if this true or not, seems too good to be true.
forevermusic Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 I thought Kasabian and/or Foo Fighters had been linked has headliners, thus giving the Glasto Pyramid Stage the appearance of Reading 2012.
