Uccellino Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 It's time to vote in the NME awards for 2011, if you feel like it. The email from NME says this: "In other news, voting just opened for the Shockwaves NME Awards 2011. You can cast your vote on Best Band, Best Album and more right here. Plus check out our online polls to decide Hottest Male, Hottest Female and Best Album Artwork. Will Matt Bellamy top the males? Who will fare better - Alice Glass or Alexis from Sleigh Bells? All will start to shape up as voting begins in earnest." You can vote here: http://www.nme.com/awardsvote
Buxomflirter Queef Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Ohh time to relaunch my 'brian for hottest male campaign'
L. Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 It's the NME Awards and all people can think already is one category that is not even presented or music related
JoanaBliss Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 It's the NME Awards and all people can think already is one category that is not even presented or music related yeah. quite sad oh well...go Kirk
Girl Anachronism Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 yeah. quite sad oh well...go Kirk But we can't vote for him.
JessicaSarahS Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 It's the NME Awards and all people can think already is one category that is not even presented or music related Well, I don't really care for award shows to begin with, but I do enjoy the fun categories moreso than the music ones. If I get bored, I'll vote in those too.
Uccellino Posted December 7, 2010 Author Posted December 7, 2010 There's tough competition in the hottest male category, the two guys from The Big Pink are in there
LyraSilvertongue Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Is The Resistance eligible or is it only 2010 releases, do you think?
L. Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Is The Resistance eligible or is it only 2010 releases' date=' do you think?[/quote'] 2010 releases... The Resistance was nominated last year if I remember well.
LyraSilvertongue Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 2010 releases... The Resistance was nominated last year if I remember well. That's what I thought. It's just that it's eligible for the Grammy's so I wasn't sure.
JoanaBliss Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 But we can't vote for him. well, you can write whatever you want, like some people vote for Matt or Dom for sexiest female. he just won't be acknowledge, even if he has thousands of votes. which is a shame, if i might say
dekza Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 I voted for Biffy Clyro as best live band. They know how to rock it. Muse best British band for sure.

You have to choose from whatever NME put on the poll.
LyraSilvertongue Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 I voted for Biffy Clyro as best live band. They know how to rock it. Muse best British band for sure. I saw Biffy on Saturday night and although they were great, the don't beat Muse for me.
L. Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 I voted for Biffy Clyro as best live band. They know how to rock it. Muse best British band for sure. Same here voted for Biffy for best live band. They know how to put on a show, wembley arena on saturday was amazing. For best band I am torn between Biffy and Kasabian...

For best band I am torn between Biffy and Kasabian... Did you think they were better than Muse at Wembley/SDF? Edit: the answer to that is obviously yes
L. Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Did you think they were better than Muse at Wembley/SDF? Edit: the answer to that is obviously yes I am comparing arena gig to arena gig and yes Biffy in an arena was better in my opinion... Muse is far too inconsistent for me performance wise to be qualified as best live band.

Muse is far too inconsistent for me performance wise to be qualified as best live band. Fair enough. I'm voting for Muse because Wembley/SDF/Casino de Paris were the best gigs of the year for me, of any of the bands I've seen. I'm struggling with the other categories. My mind goes blank when confronted with an empty box. I need a list to choose from.
dead-duck Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 lol @ the chris tag I'm voting for Matt for teh sexeh... he won the last 2 yrs didn't he? I want the trifecta There's tough competition in the hottest male category, the two guys from The Big Pink are in there That's what I thought. It's just that it's eligible for the Grammy's so I wasn't sure. The grammys are weird, they don't go by calendar year for eligibility. It's something like Sept1 - Aug31. So, since TR came out Sept 15, it's up this year

I know what you mean: there are a couple of categories where I couldn't think of anything like dancefloor filler or best DVD.
