  1. Just got the Bourns - seems really good. The bushing is brass and the torque seems okay. Yeah, when I had the volume push pull, it was awkward looking down since I was splitting the bridge pickup and the volume is above the tone knob
  2. @James: about 10 bucks a pop. 8 think they're really new, came out in 2014 or something m either way, that suck. I have another bourns pot coming in today that I'll put in instead. Also went with your advice and coil tapping with the time control instead of the volume - much better
  3. I honestly lost count, but probably under $1000. Probably. I can show you the ebay sellers I got parts from for cheap and all
  4. There's a seller on ebay who sells the black one for $459 Kinda want a second one
  5. I had it custom made. Agree that the Cort is the best $500 guitar out there
  6. no amp, just a set of good headphones plugged directly into the firehawk
  7. Can anyone show me their presets for Muse stuff on your HD500? I have a Firehawk, which cannot download user tones created with the HD500, but if I know what goes into the presets I can copy them myself. Can't seem to download the tones and open them up on my computer without owning an HD either
  8. Thanks! I got the knobs from Manson. Got the aluminum ones actually, when they started to oxidide I just got them anodized to black. They do sell black ones outright though, here: https://www.mansonguitarworks.com/product/upgrade-with-custom-machinehead-buttons-79
  9. Committed the original sin, but I couldn't help myself. The partly sanded headstock was just gross. Also it'll forever be #NotForSale so please don't hate me It'll make me feel better while saving up for the real thing, I suppose. Gave it a full setup (jerk tech didn't) & cleaned it (jerk tech didn't) really well yesterday. It plays like a dream now I'm so glad I got this guitar, so thanks again to people who encouraged me to get it :3 One thing though: idk what the hell jerk tech did to my Aftermath, but the pickup was scratched as fuck when I got it back. There were some scratches when I gave it to him, but nothing this serious. *sighs* Really glad I listened to James and got the uncovered one - with the black cover it would've been bad Body with better lighting: Close-up shot of the headstock (I couldn't cover all the wood, but unless you really stare at it it's impossible to see)
  10. Just got my Cort back with the Aftermath/ Trilogy Suite set. I kinda hate my tech still but he knows how to solder. Comparing this guitar to the LP, and holy crap I want to upgrade the LP's pickups so badly
  11. Guitar "tech" called and said that the shaft of my CTS pot kept falling out, so he suggests that I put an Alpha pot in the Cort instead. His exact words: "I never liked these CTS pots, I think Alpha is so much better." :stunned::stunned: Jesus God damn christ I just want my guitar
  12. Does Bellorz use an MBK1 bridge or neck more? I'm thinking about doing an NB/MQ set for the LP, but there's a used MQ set on ebay. I read that he had the MBK1 in the bridge position too. Been trying to play In Your World and I cannot get the LP to sound Muse-y at all. Cort mod is still TBA. How do you guys go about setting the tone on your multieffects to be right? I've only ever had 2 "real" pedal, so the settings for the Line 6 confuses me. I do read the FX recommendations thread, but when I see something like "set phaser to lowest setting," I look at my Line 6 control (on my phone) and there are 3 bars to adjust the phaser. Stuff like that confuses me Also, new instagram for guitar stuff since I don't want to torture ya'll with pictures of my nasty food. https://www.instagram.com/ciderguitar/
  13. No, it's actually uncovered. It's an *Aftermath*, but then again wink wink The stock Cort pickup isn't as *tall* as the Aftermath, so maybe that's another reason. More winding I guess
  14. Speaking of standard bridge pickup, I'm selling one. Also the neck too. Ya know, it's pretty interesting that the standard pickup is so much lighter than the MBK3. I would say it's half the weight, actually. Wonder why that's the case
