  1. Anyone with mad Photoshop skill could help me put another control knob on the guitar and position it so that the 3 knobs and the toggle switch could form a diamond? I'm trying to imagine how that control scheme would look like for the Sustainiac.
  2. I'm wondering if anyone has ever opted for a separate push-pull pot just for the sustainiac and position it so that the 3 pots (volume, tone, sustainiac) and the toggle switch make a diamond. Add the custom knobs and that'd look pretty neat
  3. Where are you again? It's actually not that bad to have Maniac Music (the people who make the system) install the Sustainiac for you in the US. I called around and so far it's the most affordable option
  4. Will do but then again it's not *that* bad if I were to buy them new from Manson so I can get the fancy black one with "Manson" written on it because I'm a poser I've been talking to Samz2 about the Sustainiac installation in America, but since I'm only a bedroom player and I only dabble into recording every once in a while the Cort with perhaps MBK-2 is good enough. The Sustainiac stuff sounds better for people who actually gig.
  5. My bedroom. Although it's more "bed" than "room" so I run into the damn bed a lot. My legs are almost always bruised I want the MBK-2 now ;__;
  6. What's a well-built, reasonably-priced dual humbucker guitar? I kinda want one to fit the MBK-1 pickups I'm drooling over the Fender FMT HH Tele's, but swapping the good SD pickups for MBK-1's seems like a waste EDIT: Btw, is this Matt's Doublecut LP? https://reverb.com/item/1542147-2007-gibson-les-paul-standard-double-cut-rare-black-beautiful-clean-mint-w-orig-w-hard-shell-case
  7. I almost died when he said he's not familiar with Muse, followed by acknowledging that Manson builds Matt's guitars. Oh and the fonts are "straight from the builder" What the actual fuck
  8. That sounds amazing. I'm really curious now ;___; are you the one with the Sustainiac also? To my knowledge the MBK-2 and 3 got some minor tweaks that made them better than the vanilla Bare Knuckle pickups but then I again I don't know anything. EDIT: Forgot to say that damn, I love this finish. I've been running into things (by accident) and the guitar is still without a scratch. Wish I could say the same about my legs ;_;
  9. I really like the fact that they'll produce more of it after the first 99. I don't care where to wood was cut tbh, because the Manson folks do the QC and setup themselves before sending it off, right? MB shape, high quality wood & neck, and even if I can't get one of the first numbered editions the normal version doesn't sound too bad, can always put better pickups in after. and by after I mean 30 years from now Well I did put the black SG381 HAPM on the Cort myself. Idk how that guy did it without a pilot hole tbh. I used a pin vise with a drill head because I don't have a drill and I'd never drilled anything before, so drilling through the headstock wouldn't be my biggest problem - I can see myself drilling through my hand The pin vise was easy enough to use, although I did strip 2 out of the 6 screws because I'm an idiot and used the wrong screwdriver got that taken care out though thankfully Oooh ooh could you do it anyway whenever you're free? I saw someone saying that the Cort pickup is great but the MBK-2 is out of this world and I really wanna know The MBK-2 costs about $200 and the Nailbomb $180 - if the MBK-2 is much better then there's no reason to really get the Nailbomb is there?
  10. Is that why they break in half so easily Ya know, I'm probably better off saving for the DR-1 than an LP though. Now that I have the Cort I want to know what it's like to own a true Manson I'm probably gonna replace the G-force this week. Just ordered another set of Gotoh's with chrome keystone buttons for it. I really hope the replacement process is as easy as and the paint hasn't been fucked yet. Could anyone so kindly post some sound clips comparing the Cort pickup and the MBK-2? I couldn't really find it anywhere. I like the Cort pickup, but really interested in seeing how much better the MBK-2 is.
  11. The 2016 lines give you options actually. You can get the cheaper Traditional guitars with the normal neck, nut & tuners, or the High Performance ones with a neck that's a bit wider, access heel, the robotuner and titanium nut. The case for the HP model is really cool. If I get another LP (probably won't) I'd just replace the robotuner as I like all the new specs. I didn't know the finish can sink o__o Oops, better take mine off as soon as I can. How light are the new fancy super light Matt Black's? Is he smashing them? I think the Steel Custom Guitars people do offer refinishing the Cort. Maybe check in with them. I just want a 2nd one that looks like a DR-1 *cries* EDIT: Stocking, look what I found for you. 12. Hi guys, I'm selling a Fuzz Factory, a Box of Rock and a VOX AC1C4-BL all tube amp. Help your girl out ^^ Link to my ebay profile with the listings
  13. Ya know, I have one of the weird 2015 Les Paul Studio with the wide neck and weird specs. I actually love it. The only thing I hate is the robotuner thing, gonna get rid of it soon those. Does Matt still use the tronical stuff? So no reports of him using the Cort nor DR-1 yet, huh?
  14. That's about 13% of my entire body mass. I probably can't pick it up with one hand :et alone play it Thanks for the link, James! Really informative actually. I don't mind the gloss neck as much as others have voiced. I just measured the nut and it is 42 mm. I really like the thick-ish, round-ish neck though - maybe when I get a custom (15 years down the road probably) I should ask for the "Cort neck?" Hugh does say that this neck is exactly as Matt's necks though I really hope they keep the collaboration with Cort ^^ Is it bad that I wanna buy another one and maybe get someone to paint it olive green and make my own DR-1 without the DRONE:##? ^^"
  15. Well I've never touched another Cort before so I'm not sure, but Imperial vintage guitar had a picture of one weighing only 6.1 lbs (2.8 kg). That's really light! I thought i would get something similar, then I picked the guitar up and it was around the same weight as the LP (7.8 lbs) and i was like T~T But then again, it is my lighest guitar so far. First Epi LP was well over 9lbs, then a G&L ASAT at 8.3, then this Gibson LP at 7.8, and this Cort at 7.4 ^^ I do get spoiled over time, lol. But then again I'm a bedroom player and I'm always sitting down so idk why it even matters The 9-pounder did hurt my thigh a lot when I had it though. I love the neck on the MBC1 so much. Is that Mansons signature neck on all their guitars? What does it translate to in terms of American guitar neck shapes?
  16. I love the official one ^^ Maybe there was a slight 0.1 mm difference in the diameters began the Cort and 381 shafts but the difference was so minimal I fitted the tuners without problems. Yay me \o/ I did get a rather heavy guitar though. 7.4 lbs must be the record for the MBC1. Albeit a 7.4 lbs guitar is by no means *heavy,* but still
  17. I actually like the Premier Guitar's review best. That guy didn't make the Cort sound like complete crap, unlike the first hit on youtube. Yeah, the dots look so perfectly straight that they can't be accidental I've looked at others' pictures of their guitars and all have the dots printed halfway like that, so I guess it's a Manson thing? My fretboard is so dark it looks almost ebony-like, I love it Um, I was going to sell the set for the equivalent in dollars of the brand new price, since it is brand new and I'm absorbing the shipping cost myself, but jk, for some odd reasons they fit my SG381 perfectly Maybe Joe was referring to the 510 that don't fit these machineheads?
  18. Would anyone be interested in purchasing the custom aluminum machineheads from me? I thought i would use the Cort tuners for a while so I bought the ones that fit the MBC 1, then I found some Gotoh HAPM on eBay a week later. It'd be a pain to return them to Manson (I'm in the US), so I thought I'd try to see if I could sell them. Buy them if you're happy with your Cort tuners and don't want to switch tuners anytime soon! Got the guitar yesterday. I love it. The rosewood fretboard is darker than the one on my Gibson Les Paul I too got sidedots that were printed halfway between the fretboard and the maple neck, which is kind strange. They don't bother me though.
  19. Thank you! When I'm home I'll take some measurements Does the guitar come with its own truss rod wrench?
