  1. Um, apparently Billie Joe Armstrong has a guitar shop a couple of miles away... Day trip sometime this week, I guess new bass for james90? That's what I suspected! Thank you ~ that clears up a lot of stuff actually I didn't know what to think when you only showed the body, but with everything put together now that finish looks so nice.
  2. New CW basses in stock soon *drools* http://www.status-graphite.com/status/frames/index_home.html James James you haven't told me what that Strat finish is called. Don't leave a girl hanging :'( I see that your black (sandblasted?) custom is almost here?
  3. I feel like it is terrible value too, especially for overseas buyers, since Manson takes 20% VAT off and this guy doesn't. Still nice getting to see the red guitar with black hardware though. As nice as the 510 bridge + tailpiece set is, it still looks odd on this guitar imo
  4. Did any of you guys end up getting the Madrozzo MadRose? Came across those last night and I kinda want the silver one. Seems pretty cheap for a guitar with an ebony board, all things considered
  5. That yours, James? I still can't tell what the finish it Ghost silver? Also, kind of random, but props to Elixir strings customer service. 2 strings (from 2 different sets) broke while I was tuning and they're sending replacement. Not sure if it was the Gotoh locking tuners or the faulty strings, but I'm sure other brands wouldn't do this
  6. I wonder if his Strats have aluminum bodies, since I don't think it's possible to do a thin sheet of aluminum plating (not sure if the right technical term) for the curves How's your Warmoth Strat going James? Got the parts yet?
  7. My palms get sweaty fairly quickly and the gloss doesn't play nice with that. I'll have to pay extra attention to the back of the neck when choosing a guitar from now on (or just stock up on steel wool )
  8. Don't really know, I had the gotoh tuners on hand the day i got the guitar so i did the swap right away to stick with the all blacl theme. The Cort tuners were pretty smooth though
  9. Feels great - kind of like the satin on some Fender necks. I used steel wool, but not sure what kind, just got the finest-looking pack at DAISO cause I'm cheap. It's definitely a success. I always hated the gloss but wasn't sure how to get rid of it. With the steel wool on hand I buffed the neck of the LP a bit too since playing glossed it up :D
  10. I feel bad for my Cort sometimes, since it's like a community guinea pig at this point But here you go, boys (and girls?), your satin neck
  11. Yeah, I really love how nice and down to earth he's been about the whole rarities stuff. https://twitter.com/mattbellamy He mentioned enjoying smaller gigs a while ago. I hope they do a rarities tour at smaller venues (so 99% of the people wouldn't be clueless ) one of these days
  12. Aftermath is sold. Price of the Cort pickup set (bridge 15.53KΩ, neck 6.79KΩ) decreased to $50 shipped anywhere in the US. Cort tuners $30 shipped anywhere in the US Thanks guys
  13. I really like this Alu Strat https://reverb.com/item/1574222-fender-aluminum-stratocaster-1994-chrome?_aid=pla&pla=1&gclid=CKuD5O_Rxs0CFRSUfgodeN4I-A Looks like it's local to me too
  14. I did. The switch came with a washer! And don't apologize. You did more than enough to help me with the switch so I'm really thankful for that. Thank you again! .The hole was bigger than the switch shaft, thankful i got the black washer. Did you have to put some solder on the ground lug? I didn't at first I but i got some grounding issues. - getting horrible buzzes when i touch strings and stuff - so iput kore solder on the other lugs and some on the ground lug as well. The griunding issue went away afterwards. Not sure if it wad thanks to the extra solder or the fact rhat i put some solder on the ground lug lol.
  15. Pic of the actual wiring I used the wire the kill button came with so it was really easy. Having a kill switch is super nice - i can turn the signals of when messing with my amp and fx stuff. At least there's some use for it. Never touched the kill button at all
  16. it's on this thread a couple of pages back. eh_D posted it. Here it is again: And no, not really. I had to go to a leather shop and add 2 extra belt slit thingies on the strap the day I got it . 5'1" remember?
