  1. Hi, sorry I'm trying to sell all 4. The price is actually a bit high, so I might just take them off the market and get them anodized for my red Les Paul though
  2. My old AC4 had a 10 inch speaker. I never got around trying it at a loud setting, because neighbors. :/ I kind of wish I had a good amp, but I see apartment living inevitable in the next few years so I've just been using headphones out of the Line6. Do you guys know of any amp/ amp sim that actually sounds good with headphones?
  3. Selling the pickups from my Cort MBC-1. Bridge measures 15.53KΩ and neck measures 6.79KΩ. The bridge actually has 4 conductors, so if you want to coil tap it you can Also selling 4 replica aluminum knobs I had made a while ago. They're a *tad* bigger than Manson, but not too bad. Black knob is Manson knob and the alu ones are mine so you get an idea of the difference:
  4. Yep, mine was a trade. We're thinking either Amazon since he has Prime & an Amazon card that gives him 5% off and there's no Amazon sales tax in DC or an ebay sller who has it for $469 new? Leaning towards Amazon though. Are the Corts good out of the box? I'll have to teach him how to do a setup eventually, but I don't want to overwhelm him the first time he touches a guitar.
  5. I didn't realize this already came out, let alone 2 in stock over here in the US? O.o Cort MBC1-RS Red Sparkle Matthew Bellamy "Santa" Model https://reverb.com/item/2109920-cort-mbc1-rs-red-sparkle-matthew-bellamy-santa-model?device=android-appO
  6. looks like reddit gave up. well done, crew That guy on the MLP thread I posted last week is still fighting everyone for his batteries affecting toanz. It's hysterical
  7. heh don't thank me. It was mostly from boredom, but I thought you might be interested since it's the MBK3 and MBK1, lol. Yeah, I think the NB would be more than good enough for you. Personally I'd save for a custom
  8. Aww. To my ears the AM is noticeably more bassy & warmer and the MQ is a bit twangy on the high notes. I'm guessing the MQ in the Cort would be even brighter with the longer scale and basswood body. I wanna try the NB still
  9. I picked out the ones that measure the same - so .021 OD, .021 Mallory and .021 Russian PIO. I just ran it through the Firehawk FX into my headphones actually (don't have an amp) I actually really liked the Mallory and Russian PIO. To my ears the OD was the most obvious one whereas the other 2 were indistinguishable (in a good way). Just put the NOS caps in because they look cool For some weird reasons I like the 0 tone to be dark and bassy so I just used a .033 for the bridge and .022 neck:stunned: So I was noodling around and decided to make this - Psycho intro using the Aftermath & Mississppi Queen (primarily to shush my boyfriend from saying that all guitars sound the same ). Might be helpful for GarJov since he's looking to upgrade his PUPs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcapdArTlpE
  10. Btw, I did a bunch of cap comparison when I rewired the red guitar. There are differences, but they're so subtle I wouldn't notice them unless I was really really listening for it. I guess caps only matter in high end amps?
  11. Fender Custom Shop #1 of 35 Aluminum Stratocaster https://reverb.com/item/1814088-fender-custom-shop-1-of-35-aluminum-stratocaster?device=android-app Neck is kinda gross though
  12. Multimeter with capacitance measure. This http://smile.amazon.com/a15051900ux0533-Multimeter-Voltmeter-Capacitance-Backlight/dp/B00Y245JRE?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true
  13. Ya know, I really want to try a Russian NOS, Mallory and OD test to see what the fuss is about. All the youtube videos sound like there's barely any difference, but I'm so curious I wanna know for myself
  14. @Scott: Here's a wiring diagram for you (although Jaicen and musecaster would know more about the correct values pots & caps to use) Might wanna look up the color codes of BKP vs Kent Armstrong though. You should be able to connect the kill button as it is now, it just needs to connect the hot output to ground when pushed, so you need one tag on it grounded and one connected either to the middle tag on the volume pot, or straight to the hot on the jack socket.
  15. I have this giant thing http://smile.amazon.com/Tools-VISE-GRIP-Stripper-Crimper-2078309/dp/B000JNNWQ2/ref=sr_1_2?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1459760716&sr=1-2&keywords=wire+stripper but I'm not sure what gauge they are. everytime i try to strip them I end up just cutting them so lately i've been using my teeth
