Yep. That's the Schubert 'Ave Maria' which I prefer to the Bach/Gounod version. 'I Belong to You' of course quotes 'Mon Coeur S'Oeuvre a ta Voix' from Samson and Delilah by Saint-Saens.

'Can you connect it with past art?' I hear a lot of Bach in Matt's guitar solos. 'Plug-in Baby' sounds like a chorale prelude as in 'Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring.' I've never checked it closely but it sounds as though the melody of the verse would form a counterpoint with the guitar introduction/obbligato.

They are such close friends, they can say anything to each other and know it's not meant to be taken seriously. Dom is known to be so placid that Matt goes to extreme lengths to provoke him but never can. I love the way they interact. Yes, they are like brothers.

I was really lucky to see them in Newport last year but smaller venues mean fewer people get to see them and I feel bad that there are so many parts of the world who never see them at all. I know some US fans weren't able to get to shows this time because they were all too far away.

I've just heard a trailer for an outside broadcast coming up from Wembley Arena on BBC Radio 2. They used 'Uprising' but I doubt Muse will be playing. I've emailed Ken Bruce to ask why this is the only time I ever hear Muse on his show. I was only half-listening to the trailer so I have no idea who IS playing or when it will take place. I've just found out that it's going to be a live debate on the EU Referendum. [Facepalm]

Oh, for goodness' sake! Some people can't see them this time AT ALL, either through illness or lack of money or because Muse aren't playing anywhere within 1,000 miles from them.

Just posted on Facebook about the Dildrone almost crashing onto the crowd. Was it as dramatic as that? Were people screaming and panicking? Will it be used tonight or not, I wonder?

Yeah, those online translators are terrible! I learned French up to the age of 18 and my spoken French is poor but I can read it okay. I had a fantastic teacher who told us that you can't translate idioms/sayings/expressions directly from one language into another. She was right! I'm a fan of a singer who was popular in the 60s and 70s. There is a secret group on Facebook for some of his fans and there are only about 100 of us. He reads our posts and posts there himself because he can cope with 100 of us but he told us the official Facebook group of the band he is in has 50,000 members so he doesn't go there because there are too many people posting. You can imagine how hard it would be for Muse to read all the posts on this forum!

I saw Matt chucking the guitar once at the diamond stage at my end. When was the other occasion? It looked odd as it wasn't at the end of the gig and he didn't smash it up so it wasn't a cathartic moment for anybody and seemed a bit pointless. Anyone else got post-gig depression? I won't be able to see them again this year though I know I was lucky to see them at all, and I saw them last year, too. I can't bear to wait another two or three years.:'(

I didn't even notice. Post-gig depression has set in, especially as I don't know when I'll see them again. I can't afford, both in terms of money and in health, to see Muse more than once a year. I was lucky to see them last year but whether they will do any gigs next year or the year after that I can get to I don't know.

After reading comments on earlier gigs with people saying Matt's voice didn't sound as good as usual, I asked my son what he thought, as my hearing's rubbish. He said he thought Matt wasn't really trying.
