  1. I loved being able to see Matt and Chris close up but Dom is my favourite and he's usually stuck in the same place. He did move at one point but it was to the end furthest away from me.:'(
  2. Yeah. It was on Facebook last night that Adele was going to sing with Muse like it had been confirmed.
  3. I get you now. They may have wanted to see the band close up, though. Matt and Chris came to the diamond a lot but Dom was stuck in the middle so that was the only place to see him. I'm sorry if the people who didn't jump around or dance gave you dirty looks. That's not acceptable wherever you are.
  4. Maybe their way of enjoying it is just different to yours? They may have wanted to stand but not jump around. If you pay for a seat and then stand for the whole gig, you seriously piss people off.
  5. I think the best option, if you can get it, is back row seats.
  6. I know Matt had clarinet lessons for a while when he was a child but I read that he was self-taught on the piano and I thought he learned everything by ear which would explain why he finds sight-reading difficult. I took piano lessons when I was a child but I learned to play by ear first and got used to looking at the keys. I could never sight-read after that.
  7. I was in a seat on 11/04. People stood for some songs. On one occasion two people stood up for one I'd stood up for so I was fine but, when that song ended and I sat down, I couldn't see. I asked the man in front if he would sit down as I couldn't see..'Well, stand up, then!' he said, quite politely. I told him I couldn't and he sat down. Next time a lot of people stood up, he didn't. Matt was on the diamond stage so I could see him and I told the man to stand if he wanted to. If people are polite and willing to compromise, it shouldn't be a problem. I enjoyed standing up for the few songs where i was able to but I don't think people in seats should stand all the way through, unless everyone behind them is okay with that. Re security: a female security guard frisked my son but not me. I asked her if she needed to frisk me and she said: 'I can't.' No idea why, possibly because I was in a wheelchair. She didn't even ask if I could have stood up. I'm always searched when travelling by plane. I wish security people would do things properly or not at all.
  8. Why wouldn't they be aware? They might be Muse fans. I have no idea who his descendants are or what their tastes in music are.
  9. The band were onstage at about 8.40 on Monday and played till about 10.30. If you're planning to travel home by Tube afterwards, there was a massive queue and we got a bus instead. There were fewer people waiting for buses and we were able to get onto the first one. Have a great time! Don't bring any food or drinks with you or they will be confiscated. You can ask for a free glass of tapwater in any of the bars, I believe, but a bottle of water will cost £2.50.
  10. I would love to have heard Defector, Revolt and Aftermath. Alec, we were late arriving and I expect my son just went to the wrong place. It was our first time at the O2. Next time I'll just suck it up and buy one bottle of water. I had half a bottle of wine with my meal in the hotel restaurant before the gig and that probably cost as much as it would have cost at the O2 but I accepted it as a necessary expense. I was feeling good after that!
  11. After seeing Muse on Monday, I thought of a question I should have asked Matt: ' Do you know what Elgar's descendants think of 'The Globalist's' use of 'Nimrod' from 'Enigma Vaiations?' '
  12. I realise what happened now. I'm seeing the wrong time on posts so it looked like you posted that comment at 10.02.:rolleyes:I was on GMT but now I've switched to GMT + 1, it's correct. I've been on the wrong time since I joined the forum. I expect I'll get fed up with the setlist when I've (hopefully!) seen as many gigs as you but this was only my third so I still get excited when I hear the old favourites.
  13. I've just seen this. Sorry but the photo is head and shoulders only. Also, I'm old enough to be your mother. Where can I see a setlist from last night? Even though I was there, I'd like to be reminded of what I heard. I still haven't come down to earth and i desperately need more sleep.
  14. Had it even finished by the time you posted this? Last night's gig went on for at least another half an hour.
  15. Showbiz Unintended Origin of Symmetry Plug-in Baby Absolution Stockholm Syndrome BHAR Assassin The Resistance Undisclosed Desires T2L Supremacy Drones The Globalist Only after doing this have I realised how poor T2L is in comparison with other Muse studio albums.
  16. Why does everyone complain about the shortness of the gig? They played for nearly two hours last night. I was perfectly happy with that. In fact, I was so knackered by the end, I couldn't have coped with a longer show.
  17. £ Bastards took my two bottles of water and one woman told me free water was available. Free water my arse! £2.50 a bottle and £3.50 for fizzy drinks. I had half a packet of softmints and some chewing gum so my son and I shared those till after the gig but were so dehydrated afterwards we gave in and bought one bottle between us. She also frisked him but, when I asked her why she didn't frisk me, she said: 'I can't.' I was in a wheelchair but could have stood up and my son had a wire hanging out of his jacket pocket from his phone charger and she didn't even look. So much for security!
  18. Left or right? I went in the wrong door at the beginning and we were right at the other end. After I'd been to the loo (malfunctioning lock on accessible toilet and the woman in front of me got trapped. I stayed with her while a man in a wheel chair fetched help) I went in past you two. There were two empty seats next to you for ages, then my son who's tall and wears glasses. I posted here last week asking if anyone was in block 105. One of my Facebook friends was there, too, and I didn't find out till today.:'( Funnily enough, my son has been invited to join his band. If I'd known, I could have introduced them.
  19. I loved it! First gig, Emirates 2013. Much too big and I was so far away I could only see them on the video screens. Second gig Newport, Wales, 2015. Fabulous to get up so close but no-one in the seated area stood up, sang or clapped at all. Last night was my first time in the O2. I was in Row U, block 105 and had a great view. I loved the round stage as Dom was more visible than usual! I just wish they would design a conveyor belt for him and his drums so he can get as close to fans as Matt and Chris do. People in the seated blocks on the level where I was stood up, clapped, danced and sang for all the well-known songs and then sat down which was fine by me as I can only stand up for short periods. Great atmosphere. My two bottles of water were confiscated at the door and we were told there was free water available. We couldn't find it and bottled water was £2.50 a bottle. Greedy bastards!
  20. KANYE FUCKING WEST??
  21. I expect mine were quite amusing. I had difficulty with the 'classical' genre. I know most people define Western Art Music i.e.anything, it seems, which contains an orchestra, as 'classical' but all Muse's songs might become classical if they are still played decades from now.
