  1. I've just listened to 'When I am Small' by Phantogram and I really liked it.
  2. I wish Matt would write more slow songs. 'Unintended' is my favourite Muse song.
  3. I'm so happy they won and looking forward to seeing the whole show on 4music.com. It looks like it was a wonderful show.
  4. I agree. Showbiz is perfect the way it is.
  5. They'd have to be half sausage from the waist down. I'm sure they never mistook each other for girls, though; the bulges would have been in the wrong places.
  6. Today I was doing something boring but necessary on a blog and decided to listen to some calming, classical music. First up in alphabetical order was 'Miserere' by Allegri. I thought, 'I'd love to listen to some Palestrina. I'll go to the itunes shop and buy the Missa Papae Marcelli because it's really famous and I should know it and Matt used part of it on Drones. Before I wasted my money I saw that I already had it; it was on the same CD as the Allegri. I'd never listened to it because I had such bad memories of being a music student and having to write in the style of Palestrina. I could never bloody do it, no matter how hard I tried! Anyway, I now know that the music Matt used is the Benedictus and is probably on youtube for anyone who wants to listen. Matt's pastiche is so well done but what else should I expect from a genius? I guess it depends on how the lyrics affect how you think; they're pretty thought-provoking. In some people who are struggling with mental illness, they might provoke dark thoughts. I've invited him to talk to people on the mental health thread as I doubt this question will be passed on to the band. I've had a reply from the poster. It seems English isn't his first language and he may have meant to say something else and just used the wrong words by mistake.
  7. I feel really sorry for fans in countries where Muse never play. They're playing so many gigs in England and some countries get not one.
  8. I'm a low-functioning human. You're on the internet so which one are you?
  9. Would you consider a tour where just the three of you plus Morgan appeared on the stage of a stadium or arena with huge screens showing each one of you through out the entire performance i.e. fixed cameras? That way you wouldn't have the problems of transporting and setting up a huge stage and the audience could see what each member is doing at all times instead of being at the mercy of whoever is operating the cameras.
  10. I know my 'question' on disability wasn't really a question but I'm glad it was moved here instead of just being deleted. I thought the question which blamed Muse for the problems faced by disabled fans was unfair to target them and wanted to let them know that some of their disabled fans know it isn't their fault. I'd still like them to be aware and to tell whoever is responsible for booking venues that they MUST insist on fair treatment for disabled fans. This means I get a second question, right?
  11. This ties in with the second question I wanted to ask. Fans often ask where they can post gifts for band members and I think, at present, the only place we can post things to is the record company. Would the band consider employing one or more people specifically to deal with gifts and cards? It would be nice to have an address that wasn't linked to the record company which may not be permanent.
  12. I would like to add my own question on the same subject. I don't think Muse treat disabled fans badly. In my experience of being able-bodied and working with people who are disabled and then becoming disabled myself, I've found that, unless you have personal experience of disability, you tend not to think about it. I would love it if Muse would insist that the people who book venues ensure that they are fully accessible and that disabled people are not disadvantaged. It took me two weeks to get a wheelchair space for the Emirates Stadium in 2013 by which time the best seats had gone. They wouldn't accept that I was disabled without a letter from my doctor which cost me £50 as I wasn't in receipt of the upper level of Mobility Allowance. I didn't claim it because I didn't need the money.
  13. No problem! If you're only allowed one other field, 'other' would cover it.
  14. I've filled it in but it allows annoys me on surveys when the only options for 'employment status' are 'employed, unemployed or student.' What about 'retired?' Self-employed?' 'Unable to work due to sickness or disability?' Maybe someone here is lucky enough to have 'inependent means?'
  15. How lovely! So, Catherine has passed the 140 gig mark? That woman is a legend! Zeos, come and join us on the Oldies thread; we need all the members we can get! We don't just talk about old people stuff as many of our oldies are actually quite young!
  16. Hi. My real name is Eleanor Dent. You can send me a request on Facebook. let me know first what name you use on there so I know it's you.

  17. Yes, which is why I'd love them to play big venues but just have three huge video screens behind them. Each would show the image of each full-time member of the band throughout the concert so the audience could chose whom to look at at any time and could see and hear the music live with no fuss. Small venues are great but they can't accommodate everyone who wants to see them. As long as we can see that they are there, live, and hear their music, live, that would be enough for me and easier for them to travel from one venue to another. Cheaper, too. Can someone pass this suggestion to the band?
  18. Not a clue. I expect it will be announced nearer to the date. As long as it isn't another bloody rapper like Shitty Rascal.
  19. I'm so sorry! I live in the UK and, in England and Wales at least, we rarely get heavy snow in winter and distances are so small people don't need to fly. It would make more sense if they came here in Jan/Feb and toured the USA from April.
  20. No, I haven't received mine yet. Yes, that's normal.
  21. I'm not an attendee but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that everyone will be able to get to the gig. I have family and friends in Mass, New York, Maryland and Washington DC and that storm looks so bad, I hope the band can get there, and all of the fans, too.
