  1. You need to make a midi channel with data 'blob' and edit the piano roll but use the extra editing bit at the bottom (various things to choose from) that has vertical red bars. It's the same place you edit velocities....
  2. From what I hear, Protools is falling behind the others... I've never used Logic (or protools proper), so I can't really comment but I'm not really sure what features cubase doesn't have! I do have a hefty set of plugins though...
  3. New song http://www.myspace.com/yeswehavethetechnology - Laserbeam Lover... It may not be entirely serious .
  4. Ok that's good, I wasn't sure because we have a second bass track with just extreme subs and it nearly blew the (admittedly heavily bass-boosted) woofers in my car ! I don't think you can hear it on your average system but if you can reproduce it it's there .
  5. Haha, awesome ! Any tips on the mix? We just got some new monitors and are possibly abusing the bass extension...
  6. http://www.myspace.com/yeswehavethetechnology NEW SONG!!!! and photos Excuse the dodgy singing, he's getting better .
  7. New songs up on myspace: http://www.myspace.com/yeswehavethetechnology No tramp-fanciers plz .
  8. Haha, wasn't much of a compliment but actually the whole thing was pretty good! Reason I asked about the bass is that some of the chord changes didn't happen and I realised that it's the bass note that changes rather than the upper harmonies... I'll listen again though now I'm at home .
  9. To nail it, yes a three-way pitchshifting setup is needed but to get in the ballpark, anything that changes the harmonic content in steps will do...
  10. Haha yeah, as muse covers go he wasn't far off! Most of the other covers I've heard have appalling singing.... Are you missing a bass player or is it just these shitty speakers?
  11. You either have to attach them (not sure if you can do that here any more) or put them on the internet first. You can't link straight off your harddrive;)!
  12. New track is sounding like boards of canada crossed with the strokes... Need to get some fat synth basslines in and electro it up:happy:.
  13. *Ahem* my old band has reformed, changed its name and joined the myspace http://www.myspace.com/yeswehavethetechnology ...... 1st Track up .
  14. Hmm, maybe it's just the complete lack of spring tension then - seems like the beater is way too heavy?
  15. Cheers mate, I'll have to go and try out both somewhere... Doesn't look like I can get either for under £110 though . It would seem the one I have right now is direct drive and I've hated belt-drive in the past - what's the actual difference?
  16. Yeah, I'm just wondering if the job can't be done for less haha.... I used to have a DW 5000 series which was nice and now I have an awful premier one (fairly ancient with only one 'side' to it), which is too slow or something.
  17. Which is the best value bassdrum pedal? I want something that I'm not paying loads extra for that 1% increased speed/power/etc... Budget = preferably under £100 but can stretch to £200 if it's really that amazing:happy: .
