caville
Quoted from (and brought to you by) http://www.muselive.com silver surfer : Thanks Mosherben, your MP3s are excellent! Enjoyed listening to them. Here's my contribution I tried to upload these on Muselive a few times today but can't seem to get it to work (keep getting an error message), so I hope no one minds me posting a link here. This is an Icom radio recording of the Muse gig at Wembley on the Saturday. It's an unusual recording and its far from perfect, but am sure it will be of interest to some The first thing to note is many of the tracks have the click beat mixed in with the music. To my knowledge, this is a backing track used by the musicians to keep in time to the music. This will either fascinate or infuriate you or both! Its not as noticeable in louder songs but it can be clearly be heard in most of the tracks, especially the quieter ones. These type of recordings also suffer badly with interference from mobile phone interference (and there was lots of these in the stadium so many of the tracks have radio interference and bursts of static throughout them. Tracks 15 + 16 are probably the worst for this. The first couple of mins from Uprising is missing as I was searching for a signal. There's also around 5 minutes missing between track 11 + 12, as I was looking for an alternative signal. Now for the interesting stuff. I can't be 100% sure, but this recording may be a feed from an IEM (In Ear Monitor), or possibly from a sound tech's feed of the music. During some of the tracks, especially the earlier ones, you can hear the backing vocals more clearly in the mix, with Matts vocals much quieter in the background. You can also hear a techy guy talking in the background now and again, usually just a quick 1 - 2 , to test equipment or something. Sometimes certain instruments / sounds are louder or can be heard with more clarity than others. Everything the band say to the crowd in between songs can be heard really clearly and the audience are also included in the mix. You won't hear any annoying chit chat in the background though as its a radio recording : ) Will post FLACS shortly for those that want them, probably on Dime, and am sure these will find their way to the other usual Muse dload sites : ) Links here - Complete MP3 zipfile - http://www.4shared.com/file/UAKwAgiH/Muse-Wembley_Stadium-Saturday_.html or from here - http://teawithtufty.blogspot.com/ sample MP3 here - http://www.4shared.com/audio/Shk-m6HD/25_Knights_of_Cydonia.html Cheers! Tufty Original thread here. http://www.muselive.com/forums.php?m=posts&p=2065565#2065565 I've "remastered" them (if you could even call it that) as on the originals, they lacked so much bass. So i've re-uploaded them here and once they have been validated (more to be uploaded, validated within a few days) you'll be free to download them. With an account, of course. But if you're still curious, this isn't something to listen to like any other concert. This has click tracks. This sounds like Chris' in ear monitor too as it has ALOT of Chris. SO MUCH CHRIS infact. Backing vocals are loud, bass is loud. It's amazing. Enjoy.

Matty987
Wow this is amazing! I take it your having to pay the rather expensive price to get more than just Uprising/SMBH/Knights?
caville
Nope. Just click the big blue download button, wait 60 seconds then download
DukeNatty
Aww brilliant, thanks for posting Nick! I've got the IEM tracks from Nagoya and apart from a little interference here and there they're amazing. Can't wait to relive the gig, and it's always fascinating to heat click tracks. It's like a behind the scenes look at how the show is put together. Plus, extra beefy Chris? Me likey! Download in the morning I think.
Bailey Essrog
Haha, this is priceless. Can't imagine Chris would be too happy about this leaking , though he sounds pretty damn spot-on even isolated like this.

Bailey Essrog
Interesting that three of the four OoS songs -- PiB, CE and FG -- are the only songs that aren't clicked. I guess it's because those are oldies and they're comfortable enough to play them unassisted?

Bailey Essrog
What are click tracks? Basically a metronome fed into the band's in-ear monitors to help them keep time and synchronize backing tracks, etc. The clicks you hear in the recording are the click track. dougwalters
Ohhh ok. I thought Muse wouldn't need that? :S
Poor Bison
Ohhh ok. I thought Muse wouldn't need that? :SWell, naturally their own sense of rhythm (dictated by Doms drumming) will speed up or slow down and move around a bit so the click track helps them keep it constant... its mainly so that they stay in sync with the lights and the screens, and also if theres a backing track for synthesisers or orchestra, they need to keep in time with that to. Bailey Essrog
Ohhh ok. I thought Muse wouldn't need that? :S I imagine that it's not necessarily because the band needs it, but being as production heavy as their live shows are, it's probably a necessity to synchronize the audio and video cues as well for the sound techs and the rest of the production team. Besides, any band that plays to a click track will sound tighter.
