  1. Figured I'd just settle for lawn tix. Not worth it?
  2. Didn't look like hard tickets were being handed out. Each winner got a pair of tix.
  3. You threw your name in a box and every 20 minutes they randomly drew a name for a total of 5 winners.
  4. id say we had a 1-2% chance to win. Better odds than AXS, I'm sure. This whole thing is a complete joke.
  5. The guitar center giveaway is done, and I come away empty handed yet again. Funny thing is I probably had a better probability of scoring tix this way than with AXS. Did anybody on here win??
  6. Hopefully they cap the general ticket sales by geo. 50% going to SoCal etc.
  7. The contest should be something fun. For the black keys' el camino launch party in NYC a few years back, they announced a random location to pick up the giveaway tix, first come first served. I cabbed it over SO fast to pick mine up!
  8. Interesting... I wonder how they'll determine the winners at the giveaways. I'll definitely be showing up to at least one of those locations this week, since the outlook for the general sale tomorrow looks pretty grim. Thanks for the heads up, Jessica!
  9. If people sold their codes to other fans attending the shows, that wouldn't really bother me. Even if scalpers already had accounts, though, people who buy from them wouldn't be able to get in because they wouldn't have the matching credit card + ID, right?
  10. sucks we couldn't get tix, but i'll live with the outcome as long as actual fans ended up getting tix. presumably, scalpers can't circumvent the system requiring attendees to present IDs and credit cards, right? there's no second-hand market for these tix?
  11. any point in continuing to try for tickets this morning? what a complete waste of my first hour at work today. christ.
  12. what a crock of shit. entered the waiting room at 9:55am and didn't manage to pick up tickets.
  13. I'm not on the boards much when the band isn't active, but I do miss the comedy and the drama of it all...! Can't wait till album #6 is released, so this dramedy can pick up again. :)

  14. Hola, Beibi! What's up?

  15. You're a fake fan... a real poopy head! Why don't you leave and join the Kasabian forum! What the... Please get out of my brain?! I must be as predictable as a Muse set list... :'(:'(:'(
  16. You mean to tell me there's more to life than analyzing every one of Muse's moves to death even though the discussions remain cyclical and disturbingly obsessive? I for one need my regular dose of Muse board bitchery. It's great because even though I haven't been on here in a week, the bitching always picks up right where I left off with a little bit of the latest flavor added in to keep me intrigued and coming back for more. Who needs DVR???
  17. They need a full, year-long break without touring, recording or even thinking about music. Just drop what they're doing and go get a fucking life. Then, to get their chops back up to speed and whet their appetites, come back in early 2012 and do a five-night stand in select cities around the world where each night gets an entire album in its entirety plus their related b-sides. (That'll easily filter the newer fans into albums 4 and 5 while older fans get what they want in albums 1 to 3.) Then go into the studio for album No. 6 to be released at the end of 2012.
  18. People sit at pop/rock concerts? If they're going to be sitting the whole time they deserve to have their views blocked, IMO, unless they're handicapped or something. Tell them to catch an opera next time.
  19. Diapers? Just take a bathroom trip right before the supporting band gets on stage while everybody is sitting down, so you could probably make it back to your spot easily. After that, just hold it in... I had to go pretty bad during the Vegas gig, but I found that once Muse got going the energy made me forget about my bladder.
  20. Just do GA. Seats give you a great view and with Muse's set-up you'll be fine no matter where you are, but I feel detached from the action when I'm seated at a rock concert. Just keep in mind that you may very well get punched, kicked, hair-whipped, beer spilled, second-hand high, groped, etc., on the floor. The crowds at all four shows I went to this spring were very tame, but in Philly I remember a lady and her son got knocked on their asses at one point and started bitching at my friends. Keep 10-15 rows back like I did in Philly and Phoenix or go to either corner all the way in the front like I did in Vegas and you should have a great view and be out of harm's way. Oh, and only line up early if you must be on the barrier or you enjoy waiting on line for hours with friends. I got to the shows after doors opened and never had a problem getting good spots.
