cheddatom Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 there should be a way to get the bridge all shiney too

Novus Dies Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 How much was the chrome finish from that site? Wondering if I should just get that done or just acrylic
kev Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 that looks fantastic! i like the chromey sustainer. what did you do to that? does it still work as good?
Novus Dies Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 looks like he sent it to get chromed too
matthijs Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 aaah now I see why I thought that was Simno's... but I didn't realize you built a new one
musecasters Posted September 24, 2009 Author Posted September 24, 2009 How much was the chrome finish from that site? Wondering if I should just get that done or just acrylic $600 +postage + vat (ouch) that looks fantastic! i like the chromey sustainer. what did you do to that? does it still work as good? i polished off the black on the metal parts to show the metal, and cover the black plastic on the pickup with chrome vinyl, then brushed over with laquer. not the neastest job up close but works perfect, i'm sure Matt would have fun as none of his guitars with Floyd trem has a sustainer
musecasters Posted September 24, 2009 Author Posted September 24, 2009 there should be a way to get the bridge all shiney too i striped it down and got rid of any black, even down to the washers http://www.thomann.de/gb/ibanez_floyd_rose_tremolo_chrome.htm
cheddatom Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 i striped it down and got rid of any black, even down to the washers http://www.thomann.de/gb/ibanez_floyd_rose_tremolo_chrome.htm It does look good, I was thinking specifically about the little knobs at the back, they look tarnished.
musecasters Posted September 24, 2009 Author Posted September 24, 2009 It does look good, I was thinking specifically about the little knobs at the back, they look tarnished. it's the naural colour of the metal once i took the black paint off
cheddatom Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 it's the naural colour of the metal once i took the black paint off ahhh, gay. still, I only noticed 'cos it's a close up shot. It still looks ALL chrome.
