Nothing new in that one, just something I took at the end of a rehearsal today.

In theory this is a very basic version of a MIDI controller I'm working on to trigger videos during a live performance. Need to test it out tomorrow but once the tech's sorted there's going to be another 11 switches all housed on a trusty Gorm.

Thats actually a great setup. Those Fender Champs are fantastic (although I did have the cutting out issues too), and the Double Muff is one of my all time favourite pedals.

Me gusta, basically.

I personally think the Double Muff is a bit of an odd one  but it cuts through really well, and sounds pretty boss when used with some other dirt pedals

@Raurie: Holysantaclausshit that board is pretty much perfect. Also, Arduino? Awesome. My friend got one recently and they're pretty badass.

Two very nice setups in one day, success.

May I ask why you have both the Boss and the Behringer delay? :)

Thanks, I am a bit of an Oceansize obsessive so I went all Mike Vennart and decided to go for two delays. Basically the Behringer is a part for part clone of the Boss DM-2, which was an analog delay which does had some ridiculous self oscillation - and was only £18! The DD-7 is for more conventional stuff like dotted eights, loops and stuff.

nice, is that a diago powerstation?

I found my old one the other day, but I'll have to get some new cables for it. never really used it as i got a voodoo lab psu a while back, but i'm having noise issues with that

Would a Tech 21 MIDI Mouse work? It only sends program change messages but you could set the computer to receive each numbered message to trigger a preset clip. It's easier and more robust than a breadboard.

ohmagawd added you on flickr Al.

How you liking your 35mm? Your shots have great DoF. I haven't shot film in forever because I fuck up every roll :'(

I luuuuuuuuurve mah 35mm. So much charm, even in the shots that don't come out great. I was amazed by the depth of field I get with the stock lense. Its a Zenit Em, and old USSR SLR camera from the 70s I believe, so I was expecting just a nice point and shoot with a bit of room for some fancy manual adjustment, but it turned out to be absolutely amazing. I was tempted to look for a wide angle lense, but to be honest I'm happy with this one for now.

What do you use to shoot film?

I've got this for like free just the other day. It was cheap because you can't get that type of film it uses anymore. Who gives a fuck, i just hang it in my neck and make the hipsters jelly.

Cheers! :) . The arduinos are great fun, still learning really but there seems to be a lot of potential with them.

Yeah it's a Diago. A mate of mine swears he's had noise problems with his Diago in the past but to be honest I've never noticed anything with mine and he did say that when he contacted them about it they sent out some part or another free of charge which seemed to solve it.

I'd not heard of the MIDI Mouse before. Seems pretty cool though, cheers. Originally we were planning on using an off the shelf controller like that but when we spoke to a lecturer about sourcing one he offered to help us out with putting together something ourselves. Being daft we thought that sounded fun and now it's sort of become part of the project itself Also, we've only spent a third of the cost of the MIDI Mouse in materials (not including the arduino, which of course has other uses too) - it's just a case of putting all the bits together. The picture shows a prototype of the basic circuit with one switch, not the finished article. Obviously it's a lot more hassle but who doesn't like a challenge! . Hopefully I'll be able to get some stuff posted up when it's all finished. If the frustrations of wiring and programming don't drive me up the wall that is.

just a handful of toy cameras. I kept accidentally opening the back, exposing the film so I just gave up  I've been tempted to get an LC-A of sorts but I haven't even been taking pictures with my DSLR lately so I can't really justify the purchase :p

so, a lot of this gear the prokittens will recognise, basically my guitar setup. It's not really connected all together, cos I need some new power supply based stuff. Waiting till i get a job to get some sort of power block, like maybe the harley benton one, cos it's cheap. In any case, it goes:

Spear Relic RD White (Yes, I've modded the controls to suprasecret settings :ninja:)

> Digitech Whammy > Eighty Seven Percent Issue 3.3 > Line 6 Constrictor > Ohnoho Blowing Up > EHX Big Muff Pi (Tone Wicker Edition) > Eighty Seven Percent Cannon > Vox AD30VT

The other setup I'm using is my laptop/djing/whatever setup. That goes: PCSpecialist Vortex II w/Akai MPK Mini > Kork miniKP > Acoustic Solutions 100W Amp > 2xPioneer CS444 Speakers (you can see half of one of them behind my guitar, the other is on the other side of my IKEA NONGORM)

I also have my iPod into my laptop, so when I'm working, playing music out of those speakers is tasty. My headphones are on the desk too, they're Panasonic RP-HTX7's, and by far the best headphones i've ever come across.

There's also a very good architecture book on the desk, called Elements of Parametric Design by Robert Woodbury, but that's not that relevent. /permaban

Can anyone identify what tasty biscuits I'm munching on tonight?

biscuits are on the desk, just to the right of the laptop, below the books, the blue packet. ;)

It's a nice guitar. I wasn't mad about the way the pickups were, except for when it was set to middle. It was pretty noisy, particularly when i was using things like blowing up. all is better now.
