At 72 the frontman still puts more energy into those 18 songs than Muse does. The man does not keep still.

TOADA is one of those songs I can also learn on guitar in like 20 minutes but will forget another 20 minutes later. Also on that list for Muse is Big Freeze and the chorus of Falling Away With You. -
Also not mentioned (but maybe in the articles), your ears are non-regenerative. It's a very complicated and delicate (and ridiculously accurate) part of the body but once you've damaged some part of it it's not coming back. It helps then to be a little more paranoid.

Most hearing damage I assume I've ever gotten from a concert was being at the barrier for My Bloody Valentine which left me hearing everything muffled for the next 3 days, and that was with earplugs.

Clubs can be very bad for your ears especially. Local stereos maybe less so but it still depends on the loudness and position.

Or they'd go to concerts with earplugs.

Fabri used to post similar things too then he got tinnitus. Although most of the people advocating this are not going to once concert in their life. It's a regular thing.

Mercy is one of the most "Musey" songs on the album. Probably 2nd to The Handler.

I always thought they sounded pretty bad in BH&R in general so I don't know how much it could have been fixed. It's my favorite in regards to filming though so I do enjoy watching it. There's some great performances, I think it still flows nicely even with omissions, and everything is very colorful; the stage and the band. Rome would have been more colorful but they literally remove the color for like half the video. T2L got some great concert footage though even if the official release was disappointing. I'm not too upset over it.

Reapers could be a fine staple considering there's large parts of the song without vocals, and the vocal parts aren't very demanding either.

Very little of the concert is tied to pre-planning. They have the drones for a few songs, spinning stage for a couple of songs, The Handler, Undisclosed Desires, and then The Globalist's monster visuals. The rest is some of the most stripped down arena work they've done in years. Really just standard lights and videos on the small ring of screens. Not even things like spontaneous stage control, CO2, lasers, and other things they've done. It opens up for a lot.

He's very noticeably been struggling vocally.

Interlude is a nice transition into Hysteria and is actually an album track. Similar with JFK, at least when they went into a Drones song. And for some reason they stil haven't done Defector with it. Overall it feels like going back to The Resistance Tour where they'd do things like play a riff before Time Is Running Out, then 3 riffs after. Now they do playbacks and instrumental jams. I'd even take the riffs really.

While I would in perfection prefer a few more songs, I thought last arena tour was a decent length. It's not the longest a band of their calliber can pull off but I left satisfied. Only ever saw Nine Inch Nail's festival set which was of course much shorter but also satisfactory.
