I realize there's a number of users that were not around in the time when Fabri adored that era of Muse.

My outlook on The 2nd Law still holds from 2012, even if I'm now a minority in doing so.

The last two songs have been respectively for promoting the album release and then the tour so it's understandable to not portray it as a standalone.

While I'd agree Supermassive was their biggest turning point it's also long enough ago that it's very much a part of their core sound a essentials list, which by many measures would be enough to call it classic. I mean consider Black Holes was released 7 years after Showbiz. It's now 12 years since Black Holes with soon to be 4 successive albums and we can still draw comparisons to Supermassive.

What a quality thread.

The one and only optimistic Muse discussion thread (hopefully)

Kind of similar to own stances lately, if anyone remembers my larger post on how I look at art now. If they're having fun with it I can find a way to do the same. -

As much as I did like this version of Dig Down the studio version is not likely to have Jools on the piano which will cut down my enjoyment greatly. -
Any excuse to bring back Guiding Light.

If you mean structure as in the arrangements, that's just as much part of crafting the music as making the lead melodies or underlying chords. Production is arguably part of this now too in the modern era so it could all be music now.

iHeart was more of a promotional show. Two Psycho Tour shows were basically it but also remember how poorly the Mayan was handled compared to every other show (and yes I'm still upset about it). That was also 3 years ago and fuck all happened since then. After all that the one talked about show feels like pennies thrown at a region that gets as many normal dates as all of Europe. This brings back me wanting them to tour with other musicians so they could pull off different versions like this.

Don't think I can be watching streams right now. I'll wait for after recordings if they exist.

And none of it over here. I'm skeptical they'll bring alt versions to tour. They never do for special versions.

Honestly it's time for them to bring other musicians on tour already.

I'd imagine the artwork fell for the same reason that singles fell, in that it just wasn't something people cared about too much. This is a very visual album so far and they've found a good place doing single releases online with videos rather than CDs with b-sides.

I mean yeah I've only experienced once what the shows are like outside the country and it was enough to convince me dropping the arena shows here was the right choice.
