When I say heavy compression, I mean low threshold, high ratio, short attack. i have two channels that work at the same time time on my amp, so i've tried lots of things but for what i do on guitar, it's a waste of time and overcomplicating the setup to achieve something i'm not after. plus we're using valve heads at high volumes, so get a fair amount of compression, don't need extra from pedals. It supports all the plug-in types I've heard of, as well as a good few I haven't, can host VSTi's and do all the editing and mastering stuff.
